Excellent review Karen! Wow! What an episode! H and Calleigh scenes, H back in the lab (yahoo!), H nearly handcuffed, and Stetler - was it my imagination or did he seem concerned? ? It felt like the shows from earlier seasons - but you can feel the growth in relationships among the team - Eric/Calleigh.... can't wait until tonight! Dragonfly

One of the things that made this an outstanding episode is Brendan Fehr's performance. He really turned into a magnificant "baddie." At least as good as Ed Begley's portrayal of O'Shay. (Do you agree, Dalet?) And I am thinking that somewhere along the line Stetler and Horatio will become less adversarial and more cooperative with each other. He did seem concerned about H. Would liked to have seen Horatio turn his gun and badge over to Rick, though. I have not traveled to Fla. for several years now, but when I do, I know the condition of restrooms will be in my mind. Can a person even find any that are that awful? To quote my granddaughter, "Eeewww!"

Thanks Karen for the great review once again. You always do an outstanding job. I was sooooooo thrilled to see H back in a lab coat. I missed the part where Yelina was talking to H. My hubby had called & of course he knew he called at a bad time. lol Did anyone notice the guy that played the chief? I could be wrong here but he sure looked an awful lot like the guy who played Clavos brother on BB. I was hoping for more drama in Rio other than H taking on the Mola Noche gang. Was really hoping for a trial. Can't wait for the conclusion tonight.

that episode was amazing. i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. best epi in a long time. and i also thought that stetler looked concerned for H, and it was at that point i almost started to cry for fear of what might or could happen to H. cant wait for the next episode

Karen, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain that I DID see H turn his gun over to Stetler. It wasn't emphasized, but I saw Stetler taking H's gun when he said that if he cooperates, things will go much more smoothly...

@ em: I did see that in the promo but not in the show last night. But I am glad it was there. I was probably too busy taking notes. I find I miss quite a bit that way!

Horatio in a lab coat can mean only one thing: he takes this case seriously.
Hmmm, Cooper. I don't understand him. I think the character change was a bit too radical. I mean, using Speed's credit card can be put down to one really bad decision, but the Cooper I thought I knew would've accepted that it was over for him once he was caught, and would've been grateful that he'd only been fired and not arrested. Speaking of which, since the crime wasn't actually against Calleigh, why did she get to decide whether or not to press charges?
Anyways, as a stand-alone "baddie," Cooper was indeed devious. But taken into perspective, I don't really buy it. Or maybe I just don't want to.

I think since Calleigh was the one who did the investigation, it was her call...or maybe I'm way off.

I'm thinking along these lines: Cooper was good and is now turning to his darker side. That happens when people become disgruntled over being fired, whether they deserved it or not. On the other hand, I'm expecting another turn --- that of Rick Stetler. I think he will become an ally of Horatio somewhere along the way. He seems genuinely contrite over the arrest and I have always thought that if one or the other should get into really serious trouble, they would help each other out. So as Cooper starts out on top and now is falling, we have another character who started out on the bottom and is slowly rising. Am I all wet here or is this a pretty solid theory?

A very solid theory, Karen. I actually would love to see Stetler become an ally of our man. I've always liked him as a character (in the way a lot of people like Darth Vader), and it would thrill me to no end to see a softer, nicer, more genuine Rick Stetler.
Coop, on the other hand...I see what you're saying. Definitely a darker (and more interesting) side that we're seeing now. I'm fairly certain he didn't realize just how out of control everything would get because of that site, and I'll be curious to see what becomes of him as a result of his stupidity.

What an eppy! So great to see H in the lab...Cooper a baddie but an annoying baddie(as annoying as he was on Roswell)....Julia annoying as ever... What happened did she brainwashed Kyle... Hope he sees her for what she is. Yeah Stetler seemed concerned....is that the beginning of a truce between them... Would be an interesting storyline to pursue...Is it me or the storylines of the characters seems more consistent...One thing for sure is there is three words that I hate in a show: TO BE CONTINUED...Thank god the conclusion is tonight...
