Gee, Sam, think of what Ridley Scott could have done if he had just asked for your help! These are great, by the way. Karen i can't stop laughing! im sure ridley scott doesn't need my help to do his job! LMAO! the strange thing is, the cast of the BBC's Robin Hood is similar to CSI miami. the sheriff and Robin are always trying to get one over on each other but Robin always gets the last laugh (sound familiar, H and stetler?) guy of gisborne is always trying to win marions heart (just like jake does) but marions heart is somewhere else! you got frank as Little John because you just don't mess with either of them! eric as Much because Much is Robin's best mate and his right hand man (similar to H and Eric's relationship). Allen went behind Robin's back as Ryan went behind H's back with his gambling. the similarities are quite freaky really! anyway, those barcelona ones are brilliant margaret. well done! luv sam x

Undoubtedly you have put a lot of thought into this, sam, and it shows. Very good justifications for your choices. If David Caruso were playing Robin, or Sheriff of Nottingham, we know one thing for sure: he wouldn't be struggling with a weight problem like Mr. Crowe is right now!

@margaret: fabulous ones.....I really need to go visit the city one day....... I was thinking.......since David's roots are partially in Italy (his dad), could someone do something with an Italy-theme? Sandra

Oh you lucky ones! As a German native I've some problems with this theme... concerning the patriotism for my country, I mean... Over quite a long time this topic was a taboo and I grew up with that. My parents always told me that I don't need to belong to a certain nation as long as I'm respectable member of the world-community (I don't think they'd already thought about this board when they told me that *hihihi* ;D ;D). I'm always happy to see that other nations don't have to be afraid about this, but for me it was impossible to make a German-related WP. But I guess you will agree with the solution I've found in this case...

Absolutely stunning, sundancer. I knew that white suit would come in handy some day!
And I never thought about German patriotism regarding post war citizens. My son spent 3 months in the army in Germany and talked about the wonders of the audubon (sp), beer, and bread bakeries (he wanted an apartment right over one). He brought me the traditional cuckoo clock and a nutcracker --- soldier, of course. Of all the places he's been in this world, Germany is still his favorite.

I have a few walls I've done in the past that have a patriotic theme to them, so I'll just post them. I hope you enjoy them. Looks like everyone is having fun with this theme, Margaret. Great choice!

Thanks a lot! I think most of the people who are afraid of German patriotism... are the Germans themselves. Though my family suffered very much during WWII (two granduncles missing in action, one granduncle caught by the nazis and since then gone for good, family of my mother refugees, one grandfather forced to labor) we were tought to avoid any forms of patriotism... And that's what got stuck in my brain. I'm glad to read other opinions about that!

sundancer. Yes, we all suffered in those WWII days. I had two uncles who flew in B-29's across the channel --- one a tail gunner, one sat in the "bubble". One died. I had two other uncles (all brothers) who were in the Pacific theater. One was scrubbing walls in Hiroshima just days after the bomb dropped. He attributed all his later health problems to that. The last of them died (at age 94) last November. Hubby is a Korean vet, nephew (deceased) a Marine in Veit Nam, and now our son is a "career" soldier. KRoseLynn: I posted a response to your wonderful walls, but I don't see it. Wonder if I hit "post reply". I think I am experiencing a few "glitches" here and there because the "pic of the day" would not display for me for awhile. Regardless, I love your first pic because it shows Horatio's (and CSI:Miami's) # 1 standing in the world ! And the second one is perfect because you have captured the essence of Horatio in less than 20 words. That is downright remarkable. Thank you. Karen
