Wow...what a statements you ladies make. I respect the opinion from Ohiogranny, and I do understand but for me it became very important to know that I can talk just about anything that's on my mind. Of course I first joined because of David, but then I found out that there are people on this board who listen to what you have to say without being judgemental. When I first read the interviews from David explaining how his life was like I did regonize a lot of myself in that and that is the reason that I wrote him a letter to tell him about that. However Peri (from this board) warned me not to give too much personal stuff away, I felt that it was okay to tell him. David came, like me, a long way and I do appreciate the fact that he is so honest about it. I learned alot and I have him to thank for that. I was very difficult in my younger days (did things that you don't find in the Holy Book)and there are people who still keep that hanging over my head. It's terrible when you have kids and you want to correct them and your fam goes like: look what you did at that age. Over and over again they remind you that people don't change! Wrong!!! people do. David proved it and so did I.(believe it or not). He was kind enough to answer and he wrote: take one day at the time and rely on the people who really love you! Of course this board is about him, but it's nice to know that from time to time we can vent about ourselfs. Take care and hugs Helen

Having read this thread through again and again today I now feel compelled to make some comments, I will probably get into trouble but in the words of Horatio Caine...HERE WE GO....
I posted this article in the first place purely for historic purposes and for those people who became interested In David Caruso later in his career. Knowing it was an old article I quite clearly quoted the date of the article in the title for the thread. Thus, giving people the choice to read an old article or otherwise. Most of you read the article as it was intended...just as an interesting article.
But, it clearly offended in a couple of instances and I added additional posts to clarify that it was only for historic purposes and as no intent to knock the man. As if I would do this anyway.
Chris quite clearly said that in Europe we are some way behind America in watching CSI Miami Seasons. This is very true. Because, not are we only 1 or 2 seasons behind which in reality is 1 or 2 years, some of us are also some 15 years behind in getting the opportunity to watch the infamous NYPD. So, you know what some of us do want to know our favorite redheads history. Just because we want to know doesn't mean we suddenly want the man victimised.
So! the general media attention in America was that he was a naughty boy. What if he was in reality. Hand on Heart is there anyone out there who can honestly say they never made a mistake in their life. The difference is that not being a celebrity we don't get hounded for it for the rest of our lives. So yes, it is unfair on David. But, history will remain in print whether we like it or not. When at school, any history lesson researches all past facts, including mistakes as well as good points. That is history for you. None of us can change that. However, we can all help David by moving on and ignoring NYPD references as he has to do.
Now, the fact that some of you have received comfort and guidance from David's career is surely a good thing. He is unknowingly helping a few of you out there, and I absolutely applaud KRYSTAL & LIAN for having the courage in airing their particular problems.
I have only been a member of this board for a few weeks,an older member than most of you, but I have nevertheless found the age range does not seem to matter, and everyone is so friendly that you feel like you are a member of a family. This is why KRYSTAL & LIAN were comfortable enough with you all to tell you their stories, and I have no problem with this whatsoever. Well done ladies. This is a very universal board, and we have to live with the fact that as such opinions and interests will be varied.
I agree with Ohiogranny on many many points. She is a very wise person and is very worth listening to. She tries to see both sides of the fence. I also agree that yes, of course this Board is dedicated to David and should in the main be about him, but if he inspires people I see no harm in non David discussions taking place between members.
As far as pictures go, as long as they have some meaning to a thread I personally see no reason why they cannot be posted. There is a lot of talent on this board.......let's all enjoy it.
Finally, Carol ( I say this with fondness not criticism)...this is your fault that I went looking for articles in the first place. When DC Intensity was up and running you had an amazing archive of articles that went with the closure of the site, and I really missed that site.
Take care all of you....Margaret

Well now, you ladies are really making my point --- one of them anyway. It would really be in David's best interest to get a book out there! Is there anyone on this board who would not be interrested in reading it (I assume everyone can read English)? Whether YA of Adult, I'm sure the time is right. Love to all of you and I have really been overwhelmed by how willing you are to tell your stories. "One day at a time."eh?

Guilty as charged, Ohiogranny. I have often talked about myself on this board, tooted my own horn, only mentioning David Caruso as a catalyst to it all. Only saying that from the moment I found him I started losing weight and subesequently lost fifty pounds. That being among others who find him as attractive (sexy-schmexy, drool, Thud, wow! - oops! there I go being foolish, sorry), is a real joy, discussing every aspect of him from the the past, his movies, his mistakes, (conundrum - how not to mention his mistakes, what caused the mistake, how it affected those around him if we wish to explain his career to those who are just coming on board), his accomplishments. I have connected with a world of people through this fine actor, people who I'd never have gotten to know if they hadn't spoken of themselves on occasion. No, I don't agree with everyone's view of DC or H, I'm not a fan of the gun (yet I'm writing a Harem gun story as we speak, heh, go figure) and I think the 'shades of justice' (ick) give him the appearance of having two vast holes in his face, but on the whole, I am right there in the thick of the crowd with my own version of him, my own wishes and dreams. How else to express my appreciation of this man, if not by expressing myself, how else to appreciate this man if not by listening to how others appreciate him?
Through an appreciation of David Caruso, I am changed not only in appearance and through the same, learning to maintain the wt loss, I have met a whole new world! Every day, I talk with people from Greece, the Netherlands, and Germany! We have nothing in common but an adoration for a redheaded actor and from there, we have gotten to know each other.
Let's face it, we're all here for the same thing and shouldn't be faulted for expressing ourselves in our own way. My avatar is fairly distinctive, as is my name, use the same one all the time, so if I am a bore to anyone, I urge them to pass on my remarks. I'm not everyone's cup of tea.
From what I've read, here so far, from others, rather than say, 'enough', I'm wishing for more; I love to hear how this extraordinary actor has affected others.

Thank you Margaret. ;D Hit the nail on the head there. Speaking for myself of course ;D ...Ohiogranny...is a very wise person and is very worth listening to. She tries to see both sides of the fence. I agree, I respect OhioGranny as well and also believe she is a very very wise person. ;D BTW...like your new banner Krystal Why thank you! I had cropped that picture out of the larger one a while back for OhioGranny and decided to use it. That's partly the kind of thing that makes this board so interesting, how we can all see others points of views. And maybe think of something about him in a different way. I've never thought about the shades making it look like he has two holes in face, but, you know, your right. Although, I still think they are sexy. ;D
