I had to start a new thread as you guys are a very talkative group and we know what happens to a thread when it goes past 9 pages.
Here is a small chapter to start the next thread area off and as always enjoy.
Chapter EIGHT
After a few minutes both Ellen and Josephine finely quit crying and Ellen just leaned on Horatio and held on for fear of falling if she moved. Horatio continued to coo at Josephine and she was smiling up at him and pulling his hair. “She is beating me up. Stop that Josephine! My hair is attached to my head, or it was before you started pulling.”
Ellen reached up and untangled her daughters hold on his hair. “Josey, you shouldn’t pull the lieutenant’s hair. He has been so kind to us.” She then took her daughter from him and kissed her on the cheek. Josephine giggled and looked over her mother’s shoulder at Horatio and cried. “Dada! I want Dada.”
Horatio laughed at the struggle that the mother and daughter were in. He remembered that he needed to get Ellen’s sizes and told her if she just would like to talk with Ms. Boa Vista he would just dial the number for her, which is what Ellen wanted to do.
After Natalia talked with Ellen she called the shelter and told them what the problem was and Janet told her to come by and she would have some things put together for Ellen. When Eric and Natalia got to the woman’s shelter Janet had put together three outfits, along with shoes and two handbags. She also had a single bra and two three pack underwear. Janet told Natalia that the ladies there had bought her the bra and the two packs of underwear they wanted to let her know that there was someone out there that knew what she was going through and she could always come there for support.
As they were leaving the shelter Natalia turned to Eric and said. “We take so much for granted. I can’t believe that people can be so cruel but also so kind.” Eric smiled and agreed with her.
When they got to Horatio’s their boss answered the door. He was holding Josephine and she had a handful of his hair. It was a picture that neither CSI had ever expected to see of their boss.
“Have you eaten?” He asked as they walked in past him.
Eric was replied as he sat the box of clothing items on the couch. “No, H we figured we would get something after we left here.”
“Well you will just have to refigure because Ellen has made dinner.” As he was talking to them Natalie turned to her boss and asked. “Where is the kitchen? I will see what I can do to help her.” Horatio pointed and she went to the kitchen.
Eric looked at his brother-in-law and smiled. “You look good with a child. Have you thought about getting one of your own?”
Horatio smiled at him as he reached up and began to untangle Josephine’s hold on his hair. “She likes the color red and my hair is fascinating to her.” Then to the child he said. “Josey, let go of my hair.” She did as she was told and then squealed in delight as Horatio adjusted her from one arm to the other. “Dada.” Horatio had given up telling her that wasn’t who he was. “Eric, meet Josephine.
While all this was going on across town at the dinner two men sat watching the area one had a tattoo on his neck a dead man’s hand. He turned to the other man in the truck. “Do you think we’ll get a chance to go in tonight and check it?” To which the other man answered. “Not tonight. Maybe tomorrow. Justin’s ol’ lady probably knows where he stashed it. I heard she was staying with his mother. We’ll take a run over and check her out.” When they had arrived at Ms. Jackson’s they saw the fire truck leaving and Eric and Natalia getting out of the Hummer. They heard the exchange of words between them and Justin’s mother.
