Not sure where to post about this-hope it is OK here. Just watched "Presumed Guilty"-the one with P Diddy.Absolutely loved it! Tension built up well through the ep-leading to the helicopter dash to rescue the girl in the bunker. Love seeing H in action here-issuing orders and comforting the girl when he found her. Everyone was working together -Ryan rather aggressive in his hunt for evidence but this helped to show the team's frustrations with this case.At every turn they were blocked by the lawyer. Sean Coombs put in a competent performance though his way of talking did seem a bit "gangsta". Will be interesting to see how he does next week.

Right on, Mandy. This is exactly what you should be doing. If UK is watching Season 7, you guys should be discussing that together. The fact that it was shown in USA earlier is really irrelevant. I enjoyed reading your "take" on the episode and it served to remind me that it was a good episode. I liked the "gangsta" comment as it showed that no matter how classy a character he plays, Sean Coombs can't get the street out of his speech. Remember that old adage "You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy.?" That applies here. Thanks for your comments.

Thank you Karen.I hope we can generate a discussion over here though we are conscious that it is rather old hat for you in USA.I enjoyed following everyone's thoughts on Season 7 at the time but now can't remember which eps were the most popular. Everyone feel free to join in.

@ Mandy and Karen.......A reminder, we were having discussions already re Season 7......I started things going and we discussed several episodes.....Sam, Gonsy, Sandra, Maggie and Mandy herself all joined in, and I had a little moan about US members never joining in when it came to our turn to get the chance to discuss the episodes. The thread was started under Media Alerts on the 21st June, titled CSI:Miami Season 7....the thread was initiated to inform all that season 7 was to commence in the UK very soon and we started discussing when I posted my thoughts on the first episode Resurrection on the 3Oth June. It went to five pages before people seemed to lose interest......so I gave up.
Getting on now to Presumed Guilty, I have just caught up with this tonight, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed watching. It was tense, full of action....loved it when Horatio said " I need a bird in the air right now" reminiscent of some past episodes. And the helicopter scene was great, and so of course was the scene where Horatio always at his best found and comforted the girl. Horatio was all round good in this episode, nice to see a bit more of him than usual. And, did anyone notice that until the helicopter scene his hair stayed so tidy. No front hair flopping forward. Enjoyed seeing some spark from all of them, particularly Ryan and Horatio. He meant business. Sean Diddy Combs was OK......annoyed me, so I suppose he was doing his job.

Yes, I do remember, Margaret. And it is a source of confusion for me as to why these threads either generate little response at the time they air, or fizzle out altogether. I was a bit enlightened when Dojo mentioned that many people are not watching at the regularly scheduled time, saving the episode on their DVR or watching on their computer at their convenience. By the time they see the episode, their comments may seem a touch stale. Still, last week I was hopeful regarding reviews of Season 8; this week I am slightly disappointed again. I thought Krystal would join in after all the encouragement we gave her, but now I know better.

Margaret,I do remember that you tried this first but I thought it might be worth another bash.I tend to watch the show a day or so late -I expect ,as Karen said ,we are all catching it at different times so it is difficult to get something going. I don't really mind if we only comment occasionally.I felt driven to this time because the ep was gripping. Incidently,I have just noticed I have been promoted to junior member!-I was beginning to give up hope. How many posts are required to get to the next stage? Karen,I always love your posts but aren't you being a bit hard on Krystal? She does a great job for us all.
Love Mandy

@mandy: Apologies to both you and Krystal if you think I was being a bit too hard on her. I know she is busy. I am simply a realist. If all the encouragement we gave her last week comes down to nothing, that's okay. There's no point in further urging on my part, that's all I was trying to say.

@ Karen.....I completely understand what you are saying. It is a fact these days, that with so much technology about people can choose when to watch a programme. I fall into this camp myself at times. But, it shouldn't mean members cannot post their thoughts when they have seen the latest episode. This is the least you deserve after starting the ball rolling every week. You do a fabulous job in this regard for season 8 for US members and for giving us Europeans an insight as to what we can expect. I was concerned re your recent review as to where US viewpoints were, apart from your goodself and Regina.......it was europeans who showed the interest........and of course we cannnot make much of a job at discussing the whole episode. However, I was pleased to see that Emily finally made it and she had obviously not watched on the night so this tells us that viewers are definitely not in sync with each other. It is always interesting to read the US members viewpoints as they can vary and it gives us the chance to think about a new episode from different angles.
Whatever, please don't be too dispirited. The europeans love reading your reviews.
I have to admit that I expected to see Krystal in the thread re your latest review as we did try to encourage her......but to be fair to her this week, she was trying to sort out what might be the problem for Lindy in not being able to get onto the board. This is all background stuff that she has to deal with and takes more time than we realise. I know from experience on this one. It was all going on from her viewpoint from Monday. So maybe you will see her next week; lets hope so as she does have some good comments to make.
@mandy.......perhaps we will see a rise in interest.........but at the end of the day, there are not that many UK people who take part in discussion threads. Too often we have to rely on members such as Sandra and Gonsy and Karen to join in with us.
Maggie is on vacation at the moment.
Truth to tell at the end of the day, the art of discussion seems to be a thing of the past except for the few.

Amen to that, Margaret. I hear you loud and clear. Dojo's blog addresses that very problem this morning.

sorry i haven't been around to comment! my visits lately have been only flying ones to check PotD and stories! not had much time to do much really! college is twice as much work as before so i am trying to keep everything in balance (not easy when you add a child and two cats into the equation) i know my name will online sometimes but it doesn't mean i'm in here! i sometimes check in, then go do something else and forget im signed in! i come back and realise that i've been logged in all that time! i usually have my music on which is why i don't turn off my computer! anyway, the latest epi of CSI:M S7! i really couldn't get to grips with Puff Daddy/Diddy/Sean Combs (whatever he wants to call himself nowadays) being a lawyer. i would have seen him more as a bad guy not a pain in the butt lawyer! he should stick to his music, he better at that, even though i'm not a fan of his! Horatio was a great as ever! i just wished i could change places with that girl at the end when he found her underground. i am so glad i wasn't in Natalia's and Ryan's place when they found all of those maggots and blow flies in that alley! i'm not one for creepy crawlies and such. that was gross! all in all, a great epi with plenty of Horatio in action! even got to see him in his lab coat, i love it when he gets in the lab! luv sam x

The europeans love reading your reviews. @karen, Margaret expressed pefectly what I feel. Lately the feedback in all threads is smaller. This is something we have to admit. But I'm sure we all appreciate the efforts that everyone does to keep the board alive. Gonsy

Has been a few weeks ago I saw this epi, but I loved it. Not being a P.Diddy fan, I thought he did a good job. Sandra

Have now seen the second P Diddy episode. Still finding him a bit "gangsta" but that didn't get in the way of anything.Really enjoyed this show.Liked the actor who plays Delko's father-storyline improbable-but we are used to that on Miami. Loved the lab work-Horatio in a lab coat and doing complicated science with teeth analysis! Nice to see Calleigh and H both working together to save Delko from deportation. The immigration peoples' response to Delko's change in status seemed very extreme and inflexible.Delko's skills, good record and upbringing in USA didn't seem to count for anything.Found that unsettling but it did make for a gripping storyline. Finally, the kiss-this wasn't as awful as I was expecting-but I would still much rather see Calleigh with someone else.Jake was a convincing boy friend-dangerous and edgy. This contrasted well with Calleigh's controlled demeanour.

Hey, Mandy......was just thinking of something to say, and found you beat me to it.
I finally caught up with SINK or SWIM last night. And surprise, surprise we have a little bit of continuation from the previous weeks episode Presumed Guilty in that Dereks fiancee gets killed at a party on a luxury yacht during a robbery taking place on board. Turns out that the father of the girl killed in last weeks episode paid for someone to shoot her from underwater, in revenge for his daughters death. Of course there was some hassle from Derek before they discovered the culprit...he really was a pain in the neck for Horatio again.
The boat and jewellry stolen from the yacht was found, the only thing missing was Dereks laptop. This was traced using the Wi Fi connection to the laptop and took them straight to the culprits. Word gets out that Eric's Birth Certificate is fake......and he is taken into custody by a very unfriendly immigration group of people and like Mandy, I found this very extreme. Delko is likely to be deported but during this whole fracas he finally finds out who his real father is, and it turns out he is an American citizen and not Russian as always suspected. Horatio of course had a hand in this. Anyway, the result is he is freed and goes straight into the arms of Calleigh.......not as bad a scene as I was expecting......this was covered quite well. I have to say that Horatio's well groomed looks carried over from last week and he looked amazing. One other thing, at one point in the episode Horatio found out that Yelina had been hired to kill Delko (and I loved the way he really rapped his knuckles on that car window) before she got out of the car, but I thought she looked strange, not all like the Yelina we know. Was this just me.....looked like her face was set in stone or something.
Good episode overall....but, preferred Presumed Guilty.

I liked the idea of the continuing storyline with P.Diddy (as said: not a fan, but he did a surprisingly good job on CSI Miami), but also thought the upbringing of Eric was a bit too much.....H in a lab is always good to see and from what we've heard so far, this will be more common the upcoming epi's.....All in all a good epi, in my humble opinion.
