Wait....Steven Culp is in the episode tonight?? I didn't know that! Cool. I really like him.
It's funny, neither clip I've seen from tonight's episode seems to have anything to do with a 'deadly outbreak'. They both just seem to be about Eric. Oh well--I'm really looking forward to tonight. More so than usual.

Tossed salad and cow pies don't mix! When Romeo and Juliet die, it is not because of feuding families, it is because of food poisoning. E-Coli and botulism were the culprits tonight and the whole team worked together to trace prepared food back to its source. We even saw Horatio twirling a cotton-swab! How great was that? Yes, Eric did call it quits and the parting scene with Calleigh was tear-worthy of those not as immune to such things as I. The ending followed the team after work with Natalia watering her garden, Jesse picking up trash on the beach before surfing and Horatio surveying his labdom with his hands on his hips. When Eric went to drive away, he found a note on his windshield. "You can always count on me" (or similar words to that effect) simply signed H Unusual episode, but a good one.

Wow. I don't even know where to begin. I am so overwhelmingly happy with this episode! I guess I'll just try to list off some of the reasons I liked it so much.
--We see the team, the entire team, working together in scenes. Very rarely do we see just two members together. --H wasn't in a lab coat, but we do seem him doing a little bit of forensics. --It takes place in a very different location than we're used to seeing. No lifestyles of the rich and famous. A large portion takes place on farms. --Alexx was around. Any time she's included I'm happy. --A wee bit of humor in a scene or two. And it fit. It wasn't forced. --I don't think I can remember one instance in which H did the head 'tilt'. And believe me, I was looking for it! --The storyline was unique. Not your typical crime. No death by knife, gun, drowning, electrocution, winch, etc. --There was a good amount of H in this episode. --And speaking of H, he looked stunning tonight. Please don't think I'm exaggerating. I'm not usually one to gush, but there were at least five moments where I either paused the TiVo or rewound it just to catch a second glimpse. --The final 5 or 6 minutes left me in tears. The scene with Calleigh and Eric was the build-up, but it was what Eric found on his car that sent me over the edge.
I do not see how I could have possibly been happier with this episode. I have absolutely no complaints. None whatsoever.

Good epi, from what I saw of it! It was sad when Eric left though, I really like Eric and I'm sad to see him leave.
But what did the note say? I missed it.

I think it said, "I'll always be here. H." (Or something similar to what Karen said.)
Yeah, I really shed some tears during that moment. I found it especially touching because it shows how much insight H has. Eric didn't have to tell him anything. He just knew. What an incredible man he is.

Oh wow! And again I gonna have to force myself going patiently through the current eps of s7... *sigh* I must say season7 is already very much better than some of the eps in s5 or 6, but - wow again - season8 seems to increase the quality of the show... --- Only the external view of somebody who really longs for those reviews! Thanks a lot to Karen and Em!

This was one of the best epis I have seen for so many reasons. The team as a whole was great. To see the three guys meld again was even better. I loved it when Ryan called Walter and he stood up just a few feet behind him. It is hard to hide the big of a guy but it gave me a bit of a giggle.

I noticed how good David looked in this episode too. What stood out to me is how they 'gathered' in a room at the lab to discuss what they had so far, talked it out -- like they used to do in the first season. I really like it when they do that.
After I saw the restaurant owner lady I was for sure she was 'killer' but we only saw her once. They fooled me, I admit it. That woman just had an attitude! I didn't like her one bit. The actress, and forgive me I don't know her name, did a good job in her role.
I'm sorry Eric's gone. But the note! I'm not sure how I feel about the note. On the one hand, it was incredibly sweet and thoughtful of Horatio to think of putting it there. But, I think I would have been more satisfied with the sentiment if H would have had the oportunity to say it to him instead.
That's the thing that bothered me about the episode, why didn't Eric go see Horatio before he left? Granted they are family now and will probably see each other quite a bit, but we won't get to see those visits, so I think I was cheated out of a good scene that could have been....
Em is right, it said "I'll always be here. H" and I think that little sentance says a millilon things. Such as 'you'll always have a job here' 'you can always count on me' like Karen said, 'if you're ever in trouble...' Such a simple sentance can say so many different things, but that's Horatio's style I think.
I'm very happy with this episode. It was a nice and refreshing. It also showed that there is more than swimsuits and mansions in Miami.

Krystal, I got the impression that Eric wasn't done yet. I just thought that this was the day he made his decision. I'm SURE that he'll get a real send-off. Remember when Khandi left, they gave the whole team a chance to say goodbye to her one at a time. I can't imagine them doing any less for Eric. And I know that when it comes time for H and Eric to say their goodbyes it will be one of the most emotional moments in the show's history. I can only imagine what it will be like for David and Adam off screen.
I better start stockpiling tissues now...
