I think it should go in the Introduction section because that seems to be a "catch-all" for stuff that doesn't fit anyplace else. Also, I don't think we should make a game of this with "winners" and "losers" involved. We should just step on our scales on a given day (Monday morning?) and tell the world "I lost (or gained)X number of pounds (or kilos) this week. When we have reached a total combined weight loss of a given number of pounds (100 or 200) we'll send a message to David and tell him how this board (and he) inspired us. Does this sound do-able? We'll have to use the honor system of course, as no one but ourselves will really know the truth. But we're only hurting ourselves if we cheat, so think about it and we'll start Monday morning if everyone's in synch.
Ohiogranny wishing us all good luck.

I would be game for this but since Spring of last year (When all the troubles started) I lost a lot of weight. I only have about 10 to 15 pounds to work with. I started out around 190 or 195 pounds (been as high as 205) and now I am down to 143. My orginal weight before I gained so much was about 130 to 135. Hell I have not been this size since 1997. LMAO. I am wearing jeans 10 years old. Oh well at least I am not running around naked.

How I did I do this you wonder? Loose your sense of smell which involves your sense of taste. I have not been able to really enjoy food because I CAN'T REALLY TASTE IT. When I eat its like cardboard in my mouth. And its about texture now. If the texture grosses me out I can't eat it. I hate food now.

It started with ashma problems. I never had breathing problems before and I use to be a long distance runner. Now I have ashma and allergies. Then I became allergic to aspirn and deathly alergic to ibuprofen (I almost died taking it). Then with all the allergies cropping up and the breathing problems I started growing polyps in my nose. I had to have them removed when they hindered my breathing. I was able to smell for 3 months before they started growing back again. I lost my sense of smell when they began to grow again but surgury is only an option when they affect my breathing. It is not fun surgery at all either.
Anyway since I can't smell I can't taste very well hence why food is no longer enjoyable for me. I eat when I have to and if I could get away with it I would drink something to get the needed nutrients because I no longer enjoy eating.
