Hello ladies,
I found an article in this magazine mentioned in the headline and wondered whether I should translate and post it for you or not. Background: though they took some nice (but already known) pictures for the article, the whole story is obviously badly tightened together. Old stories of David Caruso's NYPD-time are wildly mixed with his current career. I'm a careful reader, but without knowing some parts of his career for the innocent reader some questions may remain. So, though the article finally is really very positive, I don't really like it in the end, because it's a masterpiece for a bad investigation without clarifying the sources, more listening to yellow-press-chat. It is as if a sloppy trainee had done it. If you wanna read it, though, please let me now. It's no problem for me to get it ready within several hours.

O.K., O.K., there seems to be a certain need for the article, not depending on the language, however. But, I've no scanner, so the translation and posting the pics used in the article is the only chance for you to get the information... I've tried to find the same tone like used in the article. The original hasn't a high linguistical level, but I hope it's readable, though. Inside TV – The TV-star magazine, insidespy, pg. 16, 10/07 (translation) Good Cop – bad CopIn the beginning of the year 2007 there was an Austrian woman who threatened David Caruso with murder, because for ignoring her wishes for an autograph. But is that a reason for blaming him to be a unsympathical guy in general? We think: No!Interviews with David Caruso are rare. On one hand it is because of the increasing success of CSI Miami and the on-growing hype in the media gets hard to cope with. And on the other hand, because a decreasing number of journalists wants to talk with him about his carreer. Some people think that the privat life of David Caruso has become even more exciting than an episode of his TV-show. Others seem to have heard enough of this sandy-haired guy with his much too pale skin. Too pale and too slight to be one of the big Hollywood-players. Gossip of some enviers? Down to hell and backBut let’s keep to the facts: Caruso had already been called out some years ago and his left from NYPD was blamed as one of his biggest mistakes. His negotiations about his payment were the supposed reason for quitting this job, besides his arrogance and his megalomania. But he had to pay the bill at once: after two big-screen-roles Caruso vanished from screen completely and nobody believed in his return, and he kept the viewers waiting for a long time, besides some few gasps on TV. In the meantime Caruso found comfort with the women, but only few got comfort in return. His last and his second last wife claimed more than two million dollars each, when getting divorced from him. Such a high amount was hard to pay for a TV-show-star with less success. Probably the rumors about alcohol-problems have its origin from this time. The new life…The rescue-call came from his former casting-agent, who remembered about Caruso’s more glamorous times. In the meantime the actor had moved to Miami and was not very unhappy to get a second chance. But bad tongues claimed that the producer Bruckheimer had not found anybody else, who was willing to get engaged for quite less money over quite a long period of time in a TV-show. Fact is, however, that Caruso gave the role of Horatio Caine a certain note: a bit silent and aloof, but very sensitive he solves his cases. …and the new loveObviously these are qualities on screen, which did not fit with the private David Caruso at all: a former colleague said Caruso has a violent temper and claimed that he had been hit by a trashcan Caruso had thrown at him. It is been reported that he was ever unfaithful to his wifes and always abandoned the relationships the hard way. But with his new girl-friend it seems to be different and it seems to work. The couple is expecting his second child these days and on paparazzi-fotos Caruso looks very relaxed and happy. Perhaps role and actor are not that different at all and the colleagues in the rough film-business grudge the New Yorker the late victory. And this would be much more understandable than blaming David Caruso as to be Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. And these pics had been published in the article: Sorry for any mistakes that might have sneaked in, but the spell check wasn't working.
