Hello folks,
here comes one of the very rare articles dealing with CSIM and David Caruso in a German TV magazine. Unfortunately I've got no scanner, so I can't post the pics as well - besides, they have all already appeared on our board recently - , but I've tried a translation of the article AND .... THE INTERVIEW. Only a short, but nice one... Enjoy! ;D
Article TV GUIDE Germany, issue 15/2007 (2th July - 3rd August 2007)
>> CSI Miami:
It's a bigger bang than the original: up to 6 Mio. German viewers switch on TV, when David Caruso solves cases under the sun of Miami. The 5th season will be aired in September this year.
What's it about?
Horatio Caine (David Caruso) is head of the CSI-day-shift in Miami, which members are absolutely brilliant, but also have quirky habits: the CSI-pathologist Alexx for example likes to talk to the corpse on her bier.
What happened until now?
The private ups and downs of the team-members in Miami were given more space than in Las Vegas: Horatio's love to Marisol - sister of his team-member Delko - ends tragically. And the lab assistant Natalia, meanwhile partner of Ryan Wolfe at crime scenes, gets into trouble with her ex-husband...
INTERVIEW with DAVID CARUSO
"Horatio would be always a reliable friend"
TV Guide: Why is CSI Miami the most popular TV show worldwide?
DC: That's because of Miami. It has that unique flair, it's international. And it's because of my sun-glasses, of cause (laughs). But that's only a means to an end - the sun of Miami's rather glaring.
TV Guide: After five years of being Horatio Caine - Do you wear Horatio's sun-glasses in privacy, too?
DC: No, but my two-year old son is more Horatio than me. He's perfect in posing like Horatio - the gestures, the grimaces, almost everything. Of cause, I don't leave Horatio back at the set when I go home.
TV Guide: Has Horatio changed during the years?
DC: He has become more sensitive. The same happened to me. He cares for children. That's something he got from myself: since I became father for the second time, things became different and I see the world with different eyes.
TV Guide: Could you imagine of Horatio being your friend?
DC: Sure. He would be a good and reliable friend, because he would always tell me his point of view right away and won't beat about the bush. I would always be sure about what's up.
