As others have mentioned, I'm sure, David enjoys Italian and Chinese cuisine, but also indulges in the occassional hamburger. He eats soups and salads when watching his weight, and I recall an article where the reporter observed him ordering half an egg bagel, lightly toasted.
Regarding hobbies, I suspect he has "interests" such as art, and starting a new company rather than a hobby as such. He enjoys playing basketball and tennis, and is quite a fan of many sports. I have often wondered if he is a golfer or if he owns a boat. His favorite teams seem to be from his home city of NY (Mets for baseball), although I am sure he supports and enjoys games in Miami and LA as well. We know from his volunteer work with the Best Buddies organization that he rides a bike.
Don't know if you found this helpful or not, but please understand I only gleaned this from reading articles and seeing interviews over the years. This is not first-hand knowledge.

Wow, Karen that was pretty complete. But may I add the chocolate gelato. I remember him explaining in an interview how he got little Marquez to taste it. Marquez wouldn't have anything to do with it until Daddy managed to get a little bit on his upper lip, and of course when he licked it off, he wanted more. I think I remember reading where he was eating burrito at one time as well. Oh, and Appletini. I think that was the Cigar Aficionado interview. He talks quite a bit about food in that article doesn't he? You might try reading that, it may give you more information. www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Profiles/People_Profile/0,2540,237,00.html

Absolutely, Krystal. I also recall that he has become fond of the Cuban influenced food found in South Beach. I suspect his tastes are pretty basic, but my guess is that he would try almost anything at least once ---- he just seems like an adventerous kinda guy.
I recall the interview regarding MAC's introduction to gelato. That was sweet! And if he has a home in San Antonio now, you can bet he'll eat a few more of those burritos.
A couple of years ago we discussed planning a meal for DC. What would we serve him, etc. We came up with quite a variety of goodies.

It would appear that the writer, Mary Clark, came to this with her own preconcieved agenda: proving that DC is a failure as a big screen actor. One only has to view 'Dino' in "Proof of Life" to know that this is not true. Mr. Caruso seems content at this point in his career to take Horatio from beginning to end in this CSI franchise. Don't know if he has had opportunities to embrace movies again, but I know he says he would reject such offers "out of hand". He has other fish to fry now and I don't think he regrets not being an A-list star.

P. S. Thanks for posting. It was interesting to read.

The Italian ice cream thing was in CBSWatch magazine. This is the link www.cbswatchmagazine.com/Cover_Story/davidcaruso.phpChitty Chitty Bang Bang? David?
