I know that we've heard over and over again that season 8 will take Miami back to its roots. One thing they've specifically mentioned is that we'll be seeing Horatio in the lab much more.
Another thing I just read that caught my attention, though, was something Eva LaRue just said. "It’s definitely going back to what they were doing in the first couple of seasons where everyone is working together as a team,” La Rue said. “We’re not going to be paired off as much."
Maybe I'm the only one, but that really excites me. I was starting to grow weary of the pairing off of the team. That was one of the biggest reasons we started noticing that David and Emily were rarely together onscreen. But anyway, for me this is just more good news.

Well this makes definitely two of us, Em. I absolutely hate the fact that this team is no team any longer. They all have the same case..but they don't work together. I missed the old days where the whole team was at the Crime Scene and talked to each other.
Let's hope that the writers will change that in the new season and that no actor...or should I say actress...will work against the idea.

Makes three then.....I hope that what Eva La Rou says is a real fact. Season Seven has seen too many pairings off....sometimes almost to the point where there are separate non linking episodes in an episode, if you know what I mean.

Make that 4 of us. One reason I started disliking writing reviews is because one could go from scene to scene saying "Frank and Horatio" or "Natalia and Ryan" or "Eric and Calleigh". They became lazy regarding segues and continuity was no longer considered important. Let's hope new writers will bring new life to what was quickly becoming formula writing.
