Does anyone know if there is going to be a crossover between Miami and Vegas?

So far no plans in that direction are out in the open.....but it would be a nice idea, though personally I would prefer another CSI Miami-CSI New York crossover. Sandra

I suggested this either here or on another board, but I am still holding out for a three-way cross-over. Since "Miami" is viewed on Mondays, the episode starts with Horatio heading to NY as he did in the first cross-over. The plot thickens on Wednesday with Horatio and Mac (or perhaps Stella) heading for Vegas where the story will come to its climax on Thursday evening. I get excited just thinking about it!

I'm with Karen, a three-way would be nice.... Though I'd like to see H heading for Vegas - he certainly got on well with Catherine....

I have just had a terrific thought --- also known as a "hot flash"!
There has been some discussion here and elsewhere of how they are going to manage to cut 12 years from Horatio's life for the opening episode of Season 8. We have Botoxed him, discussed his poster and the "trout pout" and I even suggested hiring British actor Benedict Cumberbatch to play the "young" Horatio. BUT now I think I have come up with the perfect solution. How about getting Horatio's son, Kyle, to play him? I think it would enforce the father/son image and I think Evan is up to the acting task. Would love some dialog regarding this as I really think I've hit on something here.

Wow.....now that is a very original and adventurous idea, Karen.......But it could work. I think he can do it and it's absolutely worth to give it a thought.....or 2....... Sandra

I have to admit that is a novel idea, and it could work. The only trouble with it is that David Caruso would not be in the opening episode unless at the beginning and they do a flashback. This would not be enough of an appearance for me because I have to have my episodic dose of DC as Horatio. Margaret

"Dose of DC" isn't that the truth? A non-Caruso episode would not be one worth watching. Maybe he could be by Eric's hospital bed, holding one hand while Calleigh holds the other (like that would ever happen). Dream on!

Karen, I like your idea. But I see a problem. Horatio in 1997 is 37 years old. The young man who plays Kyle is only 20 or 21 I think. As much fun as it would be to see him play his father, I just don't think any amount of makeup could make him look 37. Now...if they did a flashback to 1987.... em

I do think it is easier to age a young actor than it is to make an older man appear young. 21 to 37 or so shouldn't be too hard; Mr. Caruso did not start showing his true age until after he turned 40 or so. I'm wondering about the hair color, though. Would they die it or just let it be as it is?

I agree with Karen, it is much, much easier to age a young man to appear older, there are some very good make up artists around......see no real problem there. Think they would have to give Kyle some hair colour though.

8.2 -- Hostile Takeover
When an armed gunman storms CSI headquarters and takes hostages, Horatio takes point as the negotiator...
[MATHEW] Late 20s to mid 30s, a wired, jumpy, clearly unbalanced man, he storms CSI headquarters and takes hostages. His list of demands seems strangely meager to Horatio, the only person he will allow to negotiate with him. However, as Horatio later realizes, Mathew is not a typical bad guy, but a wronged and desperate man out for "justice"...LARGE GUEST LEAD. CAUCASIAN, AFRICAN AMERICAN OR LATINO.
[DANIELLE] 20s, this youthful, ambitious CSI receptionist is frozen with terror when she is taken hostage by Mathew. Subsequently shot in the leg during one of Mathew's rages, Danielle keeps an amazingly brave face on things, but she's slowly slipping into shock and needs immediate medical attention...GUEST STAR. ANY ETHNICITY
[ROB] Early 40s, a soft, very wealthy businessman, he's seeing Rebecca, Mathew's recently-ex wife. When questioned by authorities, Rob has a sad tale about how disruptive and violent Mathew had become after the divorce -- but Rob just may be a conniving and consciencless schemer who deliberately set Mathew up and ruined his life...GUEST STAR
[REBECCA] 28 to 35, Mathew's ex-wife and the mother of his 8 year old son, she's a "entitled but damaged" woman who is now involved with wealthy businessman, Rob. She explains that ex was having mental issues even before the divorce, but she has little idea of Rob's involvement in Mathew's subsequent melt-down...GUEST STAR
[DARREN] Age 40, he's a wiry hustler who owns a check cashing business -- actually a front for his counterfeiting operation. He and Mathew were business partners, until Mathew learned of his illegal "sideline." He lost Mathew's savings and contributed to Mathew's mental break...GUEST STAR
[MALCOLM] 8 or 9, Rebecca and Mathew's son, he asks Horatio if his father is in trouble, but is too young to understand the full implications of Mathew's situation.sptv050769..CO-STAR
[UNIFORM] 30-40, male, this uniformed cop shouts orders...CO-STAR. ANY ETHNICITY.
