Thank you, Ladies, for reading and commenting! Your comments mean the world to me! You're great! ;D Yes the fight had to be off because my inspiration wouldn't provide the right verbs (among other things ) Let's continue, shall we? Chapter 5 Horatio walked his way towards Jethro and stared the other man in the yes, not really asking but making sure he wanted to know. The captain bitterly smiled. ‘Actions like those do not go unpunished in my ship, Horatio. Everyone knows that! As soon as we return home they will face the law, but for now, they had their punishment.’ His dark blue eyes were sparkling with anger in the little light mirroring Horatio’s. The latter knew not to prompt any more; Jethro’s words weren’t to taken lightly, anyone who did that paid the price. ‘How was the Ladies, I didn’t get the time to ask myself and now it’s late. That blue eyed one looked shaken though.’ ‘They were all very disturbed, Jethro, not just Stella, but they were better when I left them at their cabin.’ Horatio felt his friend’s cool, but steady gaze on him and he returned it with one of his own. ‘Stella?’ The Captain asked amused. ‘The blue eyed one you mentioned.’ He groggily answered. ‘Beautiful, young lady.’ ‘Yes, and so is her sister.’ ‘What do you say if I invite you and your guests, Eric, his wife and…’ he trailed of not remembering Maxine’s name. ‘Miss De Valera? ‘Yes, and also the two Greek Ladies, Stella and her sister for dinner tonight, in the Captain’s cabin.’ ‘Sure, I’ll inform my friends, but I don’t know about the Ladies….’ ‘I’ll contact them.’ That night came and went like many others after that and Stella and Helene found themselves being part in a big foreign, or not, company with the second learning talking English easier and more interesting than she thought. He felt much more at ease to talk with the younger sister, it was a true miracle to see Stella wanting to learn and ask and still being her self’s own Lady; it wasn’t common and he liked it, a lot, but at the same time Helene’s fragility seemed to call on him. Still, it was during than night though that Horatio saw some dreams to break over long before realizing how wanted they were. During a long conversation were Horatio and the Captain were arguing, as usual, about an old memory or their age, Eric took part and called Horatio with his nickname. Stella instantly felt Helene grabbing her hand and looking at her questioningly, so decided it was time to learn the truth once and for all. She had seen their looks the entire night and while Horatio was being kind with both of them and a lot more friendly to her, his gaze was more than ofter got lost at her sister. ‘Mr. Caine…’ Horatio looked at her and replied the same way she had the previous night. ‘Horatio.’ She smiled at him before asking to talk with hi in private. Jethro led them to the other part of his cabin and before he leave he looked at Horatio gravely as if telling him to take good care of Stella. She fidgeted in her seat before start talking again. ‘Horatio, about three months ago, when my sister’s wedding was arranged, a cousin of ours, half American, who also knows the man Helene is going to get married…’ she felt like an idiot telling all these things to a stranger but she had to do it before it was too late. ‘Timothy Speedle, do you, my any chance, know him…? Or Helene’s fianci, Raymond Caine?’ It shouldn’t come as a sock to the man, but it did. Maybe that was what Ray didn’t want to tell him from afar and asked his presence back home. He tried to smile and his effort was a success. ‘Yes, I know both of them, Tim is like a brother and Raymond is… well, my brother.’ He took a long breath. ‘So that makes us family.’ That moment he needed something to hold onto and Stella was the only person close to him so he got up and pulled her to a hug that surprised her, but still she returned it with all her heart. When they return with the others Horatio informed everyone about Helene and Raymond and he gave a small hug to the other woman as well welcoming her to the family, under the dark scrutiny of his oldest friend. Captain Leroy Jethro Gibbs had the ability to see everything and read behind the lines, something in this situation didn’t bond well with him and Horatio; his gaze traveled to Stella and smiled as he stared at her beautiful face while she, on turn was looking at Helene and Horatio. He knew that there would come a time that she, and not only, would need him and then he would help put things right. tbc Anastasia

I really think H and Jethro will be in a twist over a woman....Stella most likely, as Helene is supposed to marry Raymond.......Think it's good they all know who is who and how they are connected Sandra

Very, very interesting. So, Gibbs thinks there might be a difficulty in the future? That doesn't sound good either.
Great chapter, Anastasia. Can't wait to see what happens.

i still think that horatio and jethro will fall out over stella! now that horatio has the upper hand of actually having a valid reason to talk to the ladies, i don't think jethro will like that!
i can see things are about to get messy between the men! i can see that happening with jethro but not horatio! he's more laid back! we will see how this turns out!
great chap anastasia! can't wait to read more! luv sam x

Well, I think we are going to have a real triangle of a situation here. This could get really messy and not just between Jethro and Horatio. I think we might be in for a rough journey.

Thanks to you, my chapters going easier, Ladies!
Hmmm NV Oracle and Margaret are a bit closer to my idea actually! Just keep being open minded and don't see poor Gibbs only as Horatio's opponent. He's here to help... eventually...after being the cause of a small problem though... ;D
A little bigger chapter today and more adventurous. I hope it worked good! Of course you will be the judges of that. (I myself liked it! A bit lol)
Chapter 6
After Stella’s little revelation the two parts, Stella and Helene and Horatio and his friends came closer; his two lady friends, Natalia and Maxine were more than willing to help Helene in every possible way, which gave Stella the opportunity to do other things than just teaching her sister the English language. Soon though, the long journey started making her uneasy and tired; a young woman used to the open air, reading, long discussions with friends and teachers was now suffocating to the premises of one ship, as big as that was. Horatio, Maxine and Jethro were more than pleased to offer some of their time to give her some peace.
One evening, Horatio found her looking away in the sea not were they were sailing at, but behind at what, she thought was her home.
‘Homesick?’ she jumped at the sound of his voice and then smiled as he put his hand at her shoulder. ‘Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.’
‘No, you didn’t! I just wasn’t expecting anyone to find me here.’
‘Then, you must be happy it was me rather than the Captain because you wouldn’t be able to hide anything from him…’
‘While I can hide everything from you?’ she felt brave enough to ask.
‘No, but at least I won’t nag and push until you beg to admit what is bugging you.’
‘Bugging?’
‘Annoying things you keep inside.’ Stella didn’t want to answer so she very delicately changed their subject.
‘So, you’re saying Captain Gibbs is more stubborn than you?’
‘No, no, he is just more pressing kind of character…’ they both laughed at one memory they shared on the ship with said Captain trying to find a sailor who had done a mistake, not a very nice person to watch if you were the poor sailor.
‘I think I know what you mean.’
‘Sure you do.’ He took her with him and made her sit in a bench right beside him. ‘So what worries you?’
‘And then you say other are probing… ‘ but she eventually heard herself saying her fears to the tall man sitting next to her. ‘It’s the future, my future. Helene will be married’, she felt him stiffen as she said that, but pretended she didn’t understand it. ‘What am I suppose to do there? When I started this journey I was satisfied and pleased with the change, but now… I’m just confused.’
‘Would you prefer to return to Greece or stay in US?’
‘If I find something to do, I think I will be better in New York…’
‘Do not worry Stella, you will have plenty of time to make your choice and your sister and I will be there to support you.’
This was the first of many conversations he had with her and little by little they were coming really close to each other under the ever present eye of the Captain of the ship. Horatio felt really protective to her, but his main concern was Helene, or so he thought. He had felt disappointed when Stella told them Helene was to married Ray, and still didn’t know all the details but he was to learn them as soon as he met his brother and if not Tim would be more than happy to explain everything. Still, he couldn’t take off Helene off his mind.
He should have realized his own feelings the moment he saw the younger sister was in danger and both he and Jethro risked their own lives to safe her, but he didn’t.
Stella had the ability to put herself in danger while trying to save others so one afternoon at her walk, she saw a man beating a woman, most probably his wife and she couldn’t leave it pass. The weather was bad, strong eastern wind was blowing and a storm was heading towards their ship. And as she tried to stop him, he hit her bad at lost her balance. They were too close to the railings and the man pushed her hard and tried to throw her to the water. His wife was screaming for help and Horatio was the first to hear. He sent Natalia, who was with him to call Jethro.
As he went closer he saw the man holding a knife. Jethro was right behind him.
‘Let me deal with him, you go to Stella!’ the Captain said and Horatio was happy to oblige. That moment a strong wind blew and made his effort more difficult, as he felt himself losing his own balance. It took hi some while to steady himself and reached to Stella.
‘Take my hand’, he called. The rain had already started falling hard on them, it was already dark and no one could see clear. Still, Stella blindly reached her hand and touched his. When he felt her, he grabbed her and they fell together to the ground, she in his arms. Soon, Jethro was near them and he seemed really worried. It wasn’t the time to say Stella was a magnet for troubles or that this was his first journey he had to deal with so many rascals. Instead his eyes traveled to Stella and he took her from Horatio’s arms.
‘How are you two doing?’
‘We’ve been better..’ Horatio said. ‘What about the man?’’
‘Don’t worry. He’s been dealt with.’ Jethro’s cold blue gaze didn’t raise questioning. ‘Stella? How are you?’
‘Anxious to see the end of this trip!’
‘OK let’s take you to your cabin.’ Jethro said to Stella and pulled himself and Horatio up.

Yeah, sounds like the rough weather is just the start of rough times ahead. Sounds like Horatio is a bit confused as to which sister he likes. But, this is twice now that he has been on hand to help Stella which is causing a closeness of a kind. I am really curious as to which way the pendalum will swing and what any of this will mean to Jethro.

there is one thing stella and horatio have in common, they both are magnets for trouble! i also think horatio likes both of the sisters but he knows that helene is already betrothed to his brother!
i can see troubled waters not just for the ship but also for horatio and jethro with stella in the middle of it all! this could get messy! seems to me jethro isn't one to cross! (same as in NCIS) great chap anastasia! can't wait for more! luv sam x

I agree ladies. I also see trouble ahead, and not of the stormy variety either.
Stella is a trouble magnet, too, just like Horatio, but what is it with the Captain. I wouldn't want to cross him either.
Great chapter, Anastasia. Can't wait to see what happens next.

OK, I’m sorry it took me SO long, but it’s hot (and it’s going to get hotter…) so I’d probably won’t have the strength to sit for much time on my computer, but I promise to update the most I can. Thank you for reviews, your comments fuel my imagination, but don’t change the original idea. You have the jealousy part wrong, but that’s OK, it works for me! ;D I hope you’ll enjoy and that you’ll tell me what you think! Chapter 7 Their journey was coming to an end soon, and that for some was a relief for others the start of a new torture and something in between for the ones left. The new bonds that had been created during the long way were stable and unbreakable or so they all wished. The four young women had created an important relationship among themselves one that complimented them all. If Horatio and Eric are added in the equation, after Stella’s little ‘problems’, their journey was a life changing experience for all of them; the start of a new life with different, interesting people. Captain Jethro Gibbs kept a close eye to all of them, especially Horatio, Stella and Helene, reading things they didn’t even know they existed. Stella was sitting in what everyone by now knew as her favourite spot; every evening she’d stay there for hours writing thoughts and ideas, plots about futures and pasts full of ancient myths and facts of their lives. For these blessed hours the down to earth overly realistic woman was getting lost in her own world, a world of her creation where everything was possible and happiness was the main idea. True life was different though and she always knew it; she knew it because her sister was going to married a man she didn’t even know and said man’s brother was showing a quite odd interest towards his future sister in law. The worst part of course wasn’t that, at least for Stella herself, but how that knowledge made her feel. Never in her whole life, had an emotion like that, it was really close to the one kids have when someone else take the sweet they want so much; or maybe seeing the vase with it full to the top in the top drawer where there’s no possible way for them to reach it and held down only when guests are in the house. She was thinking that feeling maximized to a million was the new emotion she was experiencing as the moment; and she didn’t like it, at all! Yes, sure, Horatio Caine was so much more time with her than with anyone else and the two of them had come really close, his interest for her just as big but slightly different, she could say. She knew now more things about his life she ever dreamed of finding out, things he didn’t confided to her sister but to her. Still, there were things she couldn’t understand about herself, Horatio of Helene. Her musings were interrupted by a greeting and a pair of sparkly blue eyes looking at her as if trying to read her thought; for a moment there she thought he could even succeed. ‘Hmm hello Captain…’ ‘Jethro, after all this time on the ship and all the mayhem you have caused you can call me by my first name.’ “Which is Jethro”, she thought and tried to hide a smile at hearing the captain’s name, not for the first time, but sure the first time she had to pronounce it. ‘OK, Jethro.’ The Captain was giving her a way out to either talk or ask him about his life, his journeys and that she took and she tried to remember everything he told her as to use them one day… ‘So, it’s already very dark, Stella and it’s better for you to return to the cabin, but…’ he raised his eyebrow and smiled at her. ‘…when you finish what you’re writing I want to be the first to read it, OK?’ She blushed but nodded giving a smile of her own to the older man. After his long discussion with Stella, Jethro thought of his old friend and decided to pay a visit at him in a effort of easing his troubles. Horatio was too lost in his mind and feelings to realize gold and his other half even if it turned around and bit him, he thought. And he had to keep things straight before the redhead Irish did anything out of character that was sure he ‘d regret soon enough. He found his friend sitting in his desk and reading something. Now that wasn’t Horatio typical way of action. ‘Horatio..’ the cold blue eyes settled on his with an unmasked fiery. ‘What’s the problem?’ ‘Gibbs… what brings you here?’ ‘You do. I wanted to talk with you.’ ‘About?’ ‘Stop it, Horatio. I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but stop it. We know each other for a long time to be here and arguing with you for an unknown reason.’ ‘Different traditions, Jethro. Greeks have different traditions.’ Oh now something was going to be explained. Jethro took a seat next to his friend and waited to see what was the anger about. ‘A drink, Horatio? Won’t you offer me a drink?’ ‘It’s your ship, Gibbs, you have made certain no drinks allowed since that situation with Stella.’ ‘Yes..’ he got up. ‘Then, let’s move it to my cabin.’ Horatio smiled coyly as understanding hit him. ‘Rules don’t count for the Captain, then?’ ‘MY rules, Caine… I can change my rules.’ Horatio didn’t know where he was getting himself into but he followed Jethro at his cabin for a long and probably painful discussion. tbc Anastasia

Mmm......wondering what this discussion is going to be about as well. So Jethro is concerned about Horatio and wants him to talk......but, not sure why. Is he trying to play matchmaker here in trying to get Horatio to see that Stella is the one he should be paying attention to. Guess we have to wait and see. Nice chapter Anastasia.
