I guess not all epi's can live up to all the expectations. There will always be epi's that seem to be less, or only seem to be made to tie other epi's together, or to raise the heat for the finale (as seems to be the case here). Overall I sense a nice epi with a solid, well-written story, but nothing extraordinary. Great review again, Karen. Thank you for writing your thoughts and views down for us. Sandra

You may have not liked it as much but I was THIRLLED... I was in AWE at Horatio the whole freakin episode, David looks amazing, he was being amazing as per usual and and! Omg I just wanted to HUG him when he was around those kids...
It was amazing to me, to see him being a father to them, and to see that side of him, when its been kinda tacky the way he's not been in scenes with Kyle as of late.
But all in all - The ending scene was by far my favorite of all.
I loved it, absoloutly loved it, and it made me once again realize why I love him so much.
Awesome episode, - the storyline was rather... dull but Horatio was amazing as always!

When I saw the promo, I was very excited. I was thinking: "We're gonna get some action in the morgue! Awesome!" But when I saw the episode, that part, with the grenade that the promo made look all intense, was not all that intense. But I did enjoy the episode, not one of the best to me, but I enjoyed it. Especially the Horatio scenes with the children, that was great.
Now the promo it showed after the show looked great, really great, so I hope that the episodes live up to the promo last night. And is it me, or did Tara Price pull out a gun and try to shoot Ryan? I dunno, maybe I'm wrong lol.

Thanks for the review Karen. Very well written as usual. So your instincts about nobody dying were correct and I am pleased about that. We don't have to have someone die just to make it an exciting episode. The scene with the children will do it for me when it finally arrives in the UK. Having not seen any of this series I do not know much about this Tara person to even speculate on what she might be up to but Sharon seems to have raised an interesting question.......did she pull a gun or not?

HCrazy has put up the promo to her site (and posted the link here on the board in the section "Media Alerts") and I thought Ryan got shot as well.....didn't see clearly who was aiming at him though....... Sandra

Thanks for the heads up Sandra........hadn't got round to that thread yet. Mmm......you can see a gun and Ryan does appear to go down. But, I wouldn't like to say who was holding the gun.......the promo's don't show the complete actions of anyone so can't tell positively.

The cynic is still within me and I don't think Ryan gets shot by Tara anymore than I felt someone would get killed last week. These teasers never live up to their hype. But, it does look interesting and I do think "Miami" is going to give us an exciting send-off for summer.

From the promo pics I've seen (and posted) it's clear that it's Julia with the gun in the Morgue. Sounds like a game of Clue: Julia with the gun in the morgue. Haha. But anyway, yes, I do think she is the one, but no, I don't think Ryan gets shot. No way. Because there's also a pic of that looks like Ryan is taking her into custody.

Funny, em. I do think Julia's bi-polar disorder is going to cause a personality change that requires hospitalization. Regarding Tara's pill addiction, remember both Kyle and Ryan know about it now and I wouldn't be surprised if Horatio doesn't know, too. Kyle could have given him a "head's up" that we don't know about. If Ryan speaks up, it will be time for Horatio to act.
Last night's plot had a Russian who discovered his credit card was being misused and he was smart enough to trace it back to the restaraunt. I think this will create an arc for next week as we know the Russian Mob story-line gets wrapped up before the season's end.

Karen, did you notice in the promo for next week another clip of H kissing Julia on the top of the head? They were in a corridor and I thought I saw her in a wheel chair. Is she being admitting to some sort of facility to get help? That's what I'm thinking.

I saw that too. It looked like a hospital, maybe from what Ron did to her, we don't know if she was ever hospitalized? It did look like Tara shot at Ryan though.

Based on this pic I think it's safe to assume that Tara is not the one doing the shooting. em

Looks can be deceiving, can't they? It did look like Julia was being wheeled down a hospital corridor, and knowing our "bleeding heart", Horatio would be there for her. I don't think Ryan was quick enough to dodge a bullet simply because by the time one hears a shot, the round has already left the chamber. Perhaps I am revealing my ignorance about weapons here, but I think that either the gun was not loaded or it jammed.
And by the way ---- this is FUN. We should indulge in healthy speculation more often. But maybe we're doing it in the wrong thread, eh?

Oh girls, thanks a lot for your comments. I really enjoy them. It seems a good episode and to see Horatio with kids and only with his shirt for sure will be great! BTW watching the vid where Julia and Horatio are on the corridor I can't help but think about Session 9.... ;D Gonsy

@karen--I don't mean that Ryan was fast enough to dodge a bullet. I mean that the reason he moves the way he's moving is because he's reacting to the sound of the shot. So, even if he had stood still, I don't think he would have been hit. I agree--this kind of discussion is fun and doesn't happen nearly enough. @gosny--Ooh. Now you've gone and given me the creeps! em
