omg - it is Christmas, Easter, my birthday, etc... all in one. It is the first day of S-5 and I'm so excited, I can't hide it, I just want.... okay I won't sing no more.. ;D I going to set the VCR now just in case an emergency comes up. Tonight better not be one of those nights that they need to add a "special report" news cast.... Nothing better interrupt tonight. 9:45 pm..checklist: phones off, message recorder on, cats in bed (yeah they have bed time also) okay maybe I will let them watch, snacks all in place, bath done (shower after wards to cool off), lunch made for work, work clothes out. Oh my looks like I might need to start between 9:00 and 9:30 to get done. phew... But.. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it I'm about to lose control and I think I like it I'm so excited and I just can't hide it And I know I know I know I know I know I want ;D ...hehe got out of control with excitement again. Think I'll have to take an afternoon nap just so I can be extra alert for this new episode. 11 hours and 50 minutes to go at this time.

I really didn't know where to put this, but this seemed like an okay plase to put my review of the first episode of the CSI Miami fift season.
It's Finnaly here.
Rio
I had seen bits and pieces of it in youtube and all around the net. But when I saw this epi I was blown away. The start was great. Horatio standing near the huge statue and watching around remembering the past. Riaz getting free and Horatio disappering from his sight, "boof" and he was gone. That was awesome and I laughed at the look on Riaz face.
I was touched when Horatio met Yelena (Yelina?). Ihave never been a fan of hers and probably never will be, who knows. And I thought she was one sneaky b*tch to buy her son a watch with GPS locator in it. And I mean that as a high praise.
Ray Jr... first impression was that he looks like a monkey and that stuck. I cannot say much about him because all my attention was on his not so flattering looks. Near the end where he was aiming at the drug dude (forgot his name), I wished that he had shot him, but alas my wish was not granted. I don't know why I wished that, but I did.
Eric was Eric and I have nothing more to say about it.
But Horatio. Dear lord I was drooling all the while. He looked so sad that I wanted to hug him and tell him that all is going to be well, not the same, but okay. I fell in love with this man , head over heel, again. What can I say I love bad boys and the side of Horatio that is h*ll bent for revenge. WOW! Killing Riaz with a knife... and that drug dude with a gun. Gotta love that gorgeus redhead.
I like Calleigh as the boss, she ain't Horatio, but she's still great. Ryan was annoying and Boa Vista... I kinda liked her and then again I didn't like her. I don't know what to make of her, yet. I know that she was there in the fourth season, but she has been in the lab all the time.
It was a wonderfully great episode and definitely worth the wait and the hype... and one more time I am going to tell you that David was at his best as Horatio. *dreamy sigh*

I have to agree with you totally , Diamond... that epi was amazing!
David was really great on it. When he was kneeling beside that drug dieler guy, I was quite sure he was crying... even though he said he is ok. Every time he appeared on screen my heart started bounding faster.

Diamond, I just noticed the song words, Bang, Bang. I love that Old Sonny and Cher song--even if I don't know the title.

Babyjefer, I can't wait either. I am also from the UK. But, think you will have to wait until the end of July because any new season starts after the completion of the rerun of the previous series. In this case the rerun of season 4 on channel 5 will not end until July. We always seem to be last in the pecking order don't we. In the meantime enjoy the re-runs. We are getting quite a few of these at the moment. On LIVING TV they are also showing a re-run of Season 4 on Fridays and earlier in the week reruns of one of the older series. FIVE US is also showing some repeats. Margaret

I don't get livingtv but I do get Five US. I enjoy watching the reruns but I can't all the time as my housemates aren't really CSI fans. I have to wait until I go home where all of us, apart from my dad, are massive fans!

Poor you Babyjefer. You will have to get your housemates indoctrinated. There are 2 repeats on tonight one of which is at 11pm on FIVE US. So I could watch both, but have to give my husband some television time so will settle for the one tonight. My husband does actually like CSI MIAMI but he only likes to see the originals. Anyway, enjoy them whenever you can.

You are right, Diamond! It was Nancy Sinatra that made it famous.
I have it on a Cher album and then I forget that she didn't originate it. That's not the first song I've misremembered that way. :-(
