Of course her feeling was correct and of course it's a happy ending....Lucy loves happy endings just as much as we do..... A different, but great story. And a fabulous wp again. Thanks Chris. Sandra PS: Lucy, will there be an epilogue to this story tomorrow, or can I collect these last chaps and send them through to my friend? I promised her to send the last chaps all in 1 batch.......

You can send away Sanne - no epilogue for this one... Glad you all enjoyed it, now I just need to persuade my muse to stick around to finish the next one.

Wow......Very well done, Lucy. Loved the ending and how you described the sunrise. And how Horatio described all of what happened with the tranformation. Glad to see him back.
It was a terrific story, from start to finish. A story completely worthy of both the Star Trek and CSI:Miami 'families'. One I will most definitely re-read, probably more than once. Do whatever you must to keep that muse hanging around. LOL.
Your friend NV Oracle
Also, thank Chris, once again for the beautiful wp she did for us. It's a terrific piece that bring your words to fantastic light. Very well done.

I know this wonderful story is over............but memories came back to me last Saturday. Our John Barrowman has been involved in a Saturday evening show whereby he helps some peoples dreams come true and during the last few weeks ( behind the scenes) he had been conducting a competion to find the best Alien to take part in a Dr Who scene with himself in the tardis. Even if we are not sci fi orientated we all know that John played in one of the Dr Who series. What I am taking a long time leading up to is the fact that I had a little chuckle when John said to the Alien " What! did you regenerate yourself"?......well of course as a result of Lucy's story I knew what this meant otherwise I would not have understood this at all. Hope this did not bore you......just felt like mentioning this as I was so anti sci fi at one stage and I thought it was quite funny that I had actually listened.

Hehe..... So maybe we can convert you Margaret..? If you can watch Dr Who, then Star Trek is an easy slide over....
Talking of which... The new ST movie is GREAT.... and I know a couple of people who agree with me on that one. A couple of my non-trekkie friends have also seen it and enjoyed it too..

Well I haven't seen that Lucy......and not likely to until it reaches television. But, it has been receiving good reviews over here so I am probably converted enough to watch it when it arrives on our screen. All down to you.

It's interesting that ST has the 'Science Fiction' tag just because it's set in the future. Gene Rodenberry may have created an idealised future with very little crime/religion and everyone being equal - and materialism being a 'thing of the past', but for me it's still a story of relations between 'people' of different cultures and races.
Exchange the 'Enterprise' for the 'Santa Maria', James T Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard for Columbus and Magellan and you have the parallels through time... The oceans of Earth become space and the continents around the world become different solar systems, Different countries become planets... It's not too far to stretch the imagination is it...?
