Thank you all for joining in here. Let's try and keep this going.. This was great reading what you have to say.
@ Sandra.....glad someone thinks the same as me about Julia.........and apologies as an actress I should have referred to her as Elizabeth Berkley.
@ Karen.....you did get it right, so kudos to you.
@ Sam...thank you for pointing out that we can all see again tonight if we wish. This is the same as they did last year.

but there were a couple of things that got my brain thinking, when eric went to meet horatio in the parking lot, horatio appeared from behind eric's hummer out of nowhere! where the hell did he come from without eric noticing him there?? i just had visions of horatio clambering out of the boot/trunk! if horatio was already down there then why didn't eric see him straight away?? also, how did horatio get from miami to the glades and back again if he was out there on his own??? there was no sign of his hummer anywhere in the epi! Hehe! I love that quality in Horatio. How he can seemingly do superhuman things like that without even breaking a sweat! One of the questions about the Episode called Rio was how did Horatio (and Eric) get to Rio and back in one day!? Haha! I love it when things like that happen. I'm going to have to watch the episode again before I comment on it here, I think I've forgotten a lot about it. I have it on iTunes so I'll watch it there, or Fancast. But it's probably easier to go to CBS.com though... But I can say this, I didn't like Julia either, but later on in the season, I kinda felt for her because of the issue she is dealing with and having to take medication and all that. I still don't like her, but then again, I don't think we are really supposed to like her. But it's obvious Horatio still cares for her in a way, albeit not romantic, but still there are feelings for her there, if only because she's the mother of his child.

Horatio's sudden appearances and disappearances have been around since S2 when he surprised Alexx in the morgue one day. I still remember her shaking her head when he just disappeared. I call it astral projection --- some Western Indian tribes actually believe in this and I am thinking that the Seminoles do, too.
Regarding Julia, I am trying hard to keep an open mind although it wants to snap shut like a steel trap. It is obvious by now that Horatio is attracted to the weak and helpless so that is how she will have to be portrayed. Sometimes I think she is about as helpless as a barracuda, though! But the bi-polar storyline has not been overdone on TV so perhaps there is some meat for further devouring there.
Glad to see some conversation generated here. Thanks.

I am one of those that likes the mystical aura around Horatio when he disappears....that air of mystery makes him seem a bit special. He also disappeared quickly after Alexx said her good bye to him in that epi where she left the series. As far as Yelina is concerned I have a different opinion to Sam, I think she looks great in red. Not the easiest colour to wear but with her colouring it suits her a treat. Re: Ron Saris.........I hate this character which of course is what we are expected to do. But, I cannot make up my mind, whether he is a good actor creating a hateful role or whether he usually looks like a nasty type. I know Kim Coates is the actor playing the role but, have never known anything about him and was surprised when looking him up today that he has played in quite a few films etc. Now I know he crops up again which sets me to wondering if we have another Clavo Cruz type.......popping up now and again to ruffle Horatio. I have not heard that he reaches the end of his days in this series, so I guess he will turn up in season eight like the proverbial bad penny. Something I did find a bit weird last night, was when that scene where Horatio met Yelina in the red dress came on I thought "funny" I have seen this, and of course I had as a result of all the wonderful pictures we have seen this year. Guess, I am going to get that feeling often.LOL I also know that until Horatio came into the episode I was a bit on edge watching.....and he made such a difference when he appeared that although I have always known this as far as I am concerned, they will never ever be able to replace him. He has made the character so unique to him and therfore to us. Miami will not survive without him. Now in the case of Grissom in Las Vegas, I think it is possible to continue, I just never felt comfortable watching him and I think he is easy to replace. I stopped watching this series a long time ago. I think that Gary Sinise would be hard to replace but perhaps not impossible.. What I would really like to see is David Caruso and Gary Sinise pair up together later on as maybe a pair of private detectives or lawyers, or something along these lines. This is of course when the two series finish which they surely must one day Margaret

I like the idea of H and Mac offering their skills as private investigators......maybe that would be a nice spin-off when the CSI shows stop being aired........ Sandra

Margaret i agree that she did look good all in red, not many people can pull it off as she did! it was just too much for me! although im not a big fan of red clothes! when i used to do kickboxing years ago, i refused to have red boxing gloves! also it reminded me of a certain scene in Hudson Hawke which i'd much rather forget! when Yelina arrived all in red i couldn't stop grinning as all i could think about was that film! this caused some serious lack of concentration on my part! ;D luv sam x

Very interesting reading this thread . It is good that we get to hear individual views . Myself I was a little dissapointed in the epi , not sure why just something. I as most of you know hate Julia with a vengence but then I can't stand her as an actress anyway . With regards to Cal and not showing enough emotion ... well there are people who if something happens to someone close to them they can,t show their emotion like we expect them to . I would like to think that Cal could be one of these . I know when I lost my Father I was completely broken but I did not show it on the outside . I didn't cry or anything like that and I know some people thought I didn't care but that is how I handle grief . I thought they gave Cal a good opening to go forward in a new relationship with the exit of Jake. I did think Y looked good as always but I prefer her in white. Apart from Horatio (David )just being Horatio( David ) it is without a doubt the Mystique surrounding him that holds many . Seems ages since I have been here but feeling better now and Holiday did me great so I am back ..

Hey ladies, it's really nice and interesting to read your comments now that I've watched the epi here. I liked it, specially Horatio of course. To me Ryan and Eric were great as well. Eric in the morgue, a really good scene. To me, he's the only one reacting in a normal way. But the rest (Cal, Frank, Natalia, Yelina, Julia, even Kyle...)a bit cold in their reactions about what would mean the death of a figure like Horatio, and also, in their reactions when they find he is alive! @ Gonsy....nice to see you are only a few days behind us. I know that strictly speaking this discussion is not quite in the right place but it nevertheless seems to be appropriate.
So what did we think about tonights episode "We Won't Get Fueled Again"
Well it seems we were back to business as usual, the drama of last week already on the back burner....we see the usual beach babes in their bikini's, sand and plenty of sunshine.......but wait a minute, all is not perfect, we suddenly see a human fireball running across the beach having first run through a beach party that was going on...... It turns out he was a bad guy, but nobody deserves that kind of death. It was actually quite gory.
We meet Tara Price for the first time as the new ME. Did not see much of her but if the way she called the burned body in the morgue " Crispie, when talking to Eric is anything to go by she will certainly never be an Alexx. Alexx would have called him something like "Poor BabY".
I thought Ryan showed up well in this episode, looked nice in casual gear and it was lovely to see Horatio back in a light shirt.
There were plenty of twists and turns based on a storyline of stealing petrol and leading on to the trafficking of women.
Horatio was in this episode a fair amount and seemed to be working well with Ryan, and of course he looked good ......Is this the beginning of more story lines for Ryan? He did work with Horatio quite a lot in this episode and also in the first episode, we will have to wait and see. Did not like Ryan at one stage, starting to warm to him.
Not a bad storyline overall.

While I don't expect much realism on "Miami" I really did think that someone in that bikini-clad crowd could have had the smarts to get the victim to the ground and smother his flames in all that sand. Talk about a missed opportunity! And I did like the irreverance of the new ME when she referred to the body as Crispy. I was growing weary of Alexx' sweet talk.

I thought the epi was quite good (except for no-one helping the victim, which would have been a normal thing to do, I guess) and I too am starting to like Ryan more and more. He's no longer the rookie but really busy becoming a real and good CSI. Sandra

Have just watched this epi-no probs with the recording this time! I found it very enjoyable. Horatio looked amazing & worked well with Fank and Ryan though,of course, always maintaining that special aloofness. New ME had a good feisty start-have previously read a lot of negative reactions to her on fan boards. Not quite sure why this is so-I assume that it stems from Alexx's popularity, any replacement has a hard act to follow. Personally,I liked Alexx's way with the victims-it was unusual and helped to set the show apart- much like a certain red-head's mannerisms! Tara did look very young ,though as an ageing nurse ,this is normal for me! I agree that the main jarring note was the total lack of help given to the victim.Somebody at least could have tried to stifle the flames .... perhaps the writers are making a point about the shallow,self-obssessed crowd we usually encounter in Miami! As the victim was burning from the inside as well ,any rescue was doomed to failure but the onlookers did not know that. The opening scene was very gory-I had to look away at some points.

the opening was very shocking. i agree with mandy about the writers portraying miami people to shallow and self obsessed with neither of them helping the poor boy in flames! it was quite a gruesome death. on the subject of tara calling the victim 'Crispie', that a bit wierd for! mabe thats because im used to alexx talking to the bodies! i really do miss her already! when eric had taken the tooth to natalia in DNA (where was valera??) and he spoke to her about the new ME and mentioned that she was cute, i just thought 'typical eric!' i like natalia's response 'i bet romeo!' horatio's performance was excellent as usual! towards the end when the women parted and horatio appeared, i thought was brilliant!
i had to laugh when cal and ryan were at the gas station and they realised the condom was in the ladies room. cal reluctantly says that she'll go get it! she didn't seem too happy about doing it!
all in all, another great episode! luv sam x

And Does That Make You Kill I saw this episode last Tuesday evening, but our place was in a bit of an upheaval for a couple of days so I have only just got around to this. I hope we can keep this going throughout the summer ( at least whilst the board is silent now as far as discussion goes.....well, we can but try) and any one in the UK who might want to enter a discussion please don’t wait for me to post first if you have something to say. At, this point I would like to particularly thank Karen who has of course already seen all of the episodes and to Sandra who has seen some of them, but both of whom can still find a few comments to make. Getting back to the episode, I enjoyed this, and thought that overall a good job was done here. This was a tale of twists and turns. We had a psychologist who found her daughter murdered in her office, and the team soon discovered that the psychologist is none other than the same one who Eric is seeing for therapy. I thought Gail O’Grady was perfect for the part of the psychologist and played well alongside Horatio in all their scenes. You would not have guessed they may have had some problems in the past. We not only had the murdered daughter but missing therapy notes that means Eric has a problem, and then the murder of the psychologist by one of her patients who has dreams about killing her, but finally flips when she cancels an appointment with him due to her daughters death The storyline weaved in and out of the different situations quite nicely with Horatio also weaving in out nicely as well. I think he looked really great, the best yet this season. There was a particular instance I loved between him and the psychologist. Horatio was pushing her for some information and she wouldn’t due to patient confidentiality and she said “ I’m sorry I took an oath” and H with one of his looks said “So did I”. Well I am a sucker for his quips. I was a bit bothered that Calleigh was allowed to read Eric’s notes. Think that should have been done by Horatio. However, as a result she started to see Eric in a different light because of what she read, and here I do not like. In the previous weeks episode Eric, definitely had a twinkle in his eye when talking to Tara and that is more the Eric I like to see. In my opinion Eric and Calleigh will never work for me and I guess I am going to have to put up with it all season now. Please give me patience. Sorry, I know some of you like this relationship ;D Margaret
