I thought this is something you'd all like to know....
Evan Ellingson, 19, a surfer and skate-boarder who played Kiefer Sutherland’s nephew on 24. “Now I’m playing David Caruso’s son on CSI: Miami,” he tells us. “David is about the coolest guy I ever met.”
How cool is that?!

That is beyond AWESOME! Sheesh, I'm getting the fuzzies again. Really, though, it makes me so happy to hear people say that!

This really struck a memory chord for me. One day at work, I was helping a HS freshman select a book. We talked a bit and when he signed the book out, he turned to me and said "Ya know, Mrs. D----, You're pretty cool for a librarian!" Coming from a 14-year-old, I considered that high praise indeed. I hope someone shows David the article.

Karen, that was a great story. It does mean a lot when someone says somthing like that.
I had similar experience just yesterday after I posted this article. I had gone to work and was DOS for the night, which means Director of Set. It's basically just floor walking and asking customers if they need help finding a movie or whatever...
Anyway, an older couple came in was looking for a couple of Classic movies to rent, so I showed them the Classics section and the 100 greatest movies of all time section. The wife, Mrs. Hart was looking for specific movie but couldn't remember the exact title, and said somthing like "Something something Rabits..." I asked her what it was about, she said "Keeping rabbits from running away, I think." "Well," I said thinking about any title I knew of that had 'Rabbit' in the title and the first one I came up with was "Rabbit Proof Fence" with Kenneth Branagh. "YES!" she said snapping her fingers in the air by her head "Yes, that's it!" "Unfortunatly," I said "We don't have that movie here. I know that because I'm a fan of Kenneth Branagh's." Her face fell and obviously she was dissapointed. "I'm sorry," I said "I've been trying to get my hands on that movie for a while too." "You have?" "How about," I suggested "If you leave your name with me and when I find it I'll contact you?" Her husband, Mr. Hart, was just standing by patently listening to the whole conversation. Mrs. Harts face lit up again. She reminded me of my paternal Grandma. So, later after they picked out two movies, she came to check out and I handed her a pad of paper and my pen, and she said "Oh! I forgot!" and wrote down her name. Then she said this "You are about the most helpful person I ever seen here. And quite possibly the most pleasent younger woman I've met in a long while. You're so nice, and your smile in genuine." I smiled at her.
It's ironic because that happened on the exact day I found this article about what Evan feels about David. I connected the two events together. Kinda cool, I think.
I'd love to hear about other experiences from other members if you have any.

That is really awesome, it gives insight to what kind of guy DC really is. And also i am sure it helps with the on-screen chemistry between the 2 of them. And to Karen and Kroselynn great stories!

Those stories were great. I myself had something similar when I was still working at the mushroom factory. I worked there for 9 years, starting in 1993. It's only girls working there...and we started work at about 7am ish, sometimes earlier. But because mushrooms grow the whole day, you never know when you finish...sometimes we were still working at 11pm...the girls became tired, they wanted to go home, which is understandable. But I always managed to pick them up by just starting silly conversations...girls had fun, were laughing and before we knew it...we were done, we could go home. My boss said to me several times, you are the most pleasant girl working for me...you make work easy to do. I blushed every time he said that...but maybe that was also because I fancied him...(he looked like Kevin Costner in Dances with wolves with the moustache) ;D ;D Lian

Loved your read too, Lian! Brings back memories to me when I worked in an office for an international company. As you can imagine everyone was extremely busy day in and day out. I was on the east coast and my responsibility was coordinating with the office on the west coast which meant long hours on the phone - sometimes it was overwhelming. But I always remembered to start a conversation with a smile and something nice to say which obviously was "noticeable" on the other end 'cause my contact named me "Little Miss Sunshine". Even when he flew in to meet with me he always referred to me by that name. I was proud. I always thought that a little laughter and humor helped to make even a hectic day more manageable. That was 25 years ago. Just a few days ago I received an email from that same man about an article that appeared in the newspaper about me -- and he started it out with -- "Hello Little Miss Sunshine"! That was great!
This past Friday was an historical event at the college where I presently work-- the installation of the new president. As you can imagine it was an extremely busy time, especially this past week, with many beautiful tributes and programs planned and many VIP's from across the country attending and participating. I had the honor of representing our staff as I was recently elected president of our staff senate. I, along with 20 other individuals, had to give a brief speech welcoming the new president. I was a bit anxious as I had never done something like this before - especially talking on stage with an audience close to a thousand people - most of them the head of prestigious universities. And the other people on stage held high positions with high degrees - and me with only a high school education! I wrote the speech using words that I felt my "people" would like to say to the new president. My boss (who also happens to be a big fan of DC) helped me as I practiced it right before I had to on stage - and to break the tension, we started saying it the way "H" would say it and it was fun. This really helped me to relax so that when it came time for me to get up and speak everything came out naturally and open. At the reception afterwards, I was approached by numerous people including members of my senate AND many of the VIPS congratulating me on having the most moving and loving speech of the day!! I was so happy!! See, again "H" (and my boss) saved the day!

So, basically he's saying he likes Horatio more than Jack Bauer! He seems like a good kid and a fine actor. emily
