Well as promised here's the translation.
Here we go...
CSI: Miami
investigation to dead bodies? very interesting, for sure when you can see it with your own eyes.
Mediazine is taking a look on the set of CSI: Miami.
They had a beautiful life!
He had a great job, a huge bankaccount and this magnificent house on the hill, with a view over the endless atlantic ocean.
Why did his wife held a gun to his head? during their party for crying out loud.
In the garden beautiful people were drinking champagne and they refreshed themselves to the warmth of his success! Where did it go wrong?
He took a step towards his wife.
He felt the impact even before he heard the sound.
The bullit found it's way through the jacket of his white tux and left a hole that coloured red from blood.
Without success he tried to keep his balance.
By the time he fell backwards from the balcony, he was already dead.
Which was a good thing, because this way he didn't feel that a big stake of ice entered his back and was sticking out on the front.
A little while later the body is laying on a stretcher.
For a corpse he's remarkably active.
He's making jokes with everyone who comes near him.
"the next scene won't be done for another hour and a half, they better do my make up before that again, otherwise I'll be "the best tanned corpse you've ever seen"We are on the set of CSI Miami, The populair tv-series where solving murders by the forensic department is the centre of it all.
But the shooting of the series aren't in Miami at all.
This time they're in the hills of Malibu, a community in the urban area of Los Angeles.
Put a nice filter on the lens of the camera, make sure you have palm trees in sight and you can make the audience believe your in Miami.
BEAUTIFUL CORPSES.
CSI Miami is already busy with their fifth season and is extremely successful in America.
Khandi Alexander, the sexy medical examiner in CSI Miami, declares the success of the show like this:
"In our show only beautiful people die in a beautiful environment. It's great to look at."Filming a series you have to be quit patient.
The 60 crewmembers don't seem to have much to do and they kill time with chatting and have a lot of fun with eachother.
But than the voice of the director sounds on the headphones of his assistents, who repeat his command:
"We are rolling!" the whispering stops immediatly and the ones who are in sight of the camera, but don't belong there, find another place to be.
The make-up artist put a bit of fresh powder on the actors faces real fast and quickley get out of sight of the camera too.
There's an absolute silence on the set and all the attention now is on the scene which is bathing in light.
For the first time today I hear birds sing.
Well, ofcourse you can't get them to shut up.
And....Action! David Caruso, the redheaded main character stares at the stretcher and is discussing with his colleague who's standing in front of him.
He takes off his sunnies and puts his hands on his hips.
Than the colleague walks away and the Medical examiner appears on the patio.
In the background there are some police officers talking with a couple of shocked guests.
You can see their mouths move, but no sound comes out of them.
David decides that this is the right moment to put his sunnies back on.
One more time he looks very intensively and than the director says: "CUT!"
SH*THEAD
A collective sigh sounds from the watching crewmembers mouths.
It's the sign that you are allowed to move and talk again.
The bald detective who just played the scene and who had to walk out of sight, asks the director: "Can we do this scene again? because a bird just crapped on my head!"
The director taps him on the back and answers: "Welcome to my world."
They do the scene again, and again, till they get it right.
After a couple of hours on the location in the hills of malibu you can see how well oiled the machine of this series is.
While the cameracrew is busy shooting a scene in the back of the villa, others are busy rehursing on the drive way for the next scene.
It's going smoothly and that's the way it's supposed to be, if you think that they only have 2 days to shoot the outdoor scenes.
They will be shooting the rest inside a bunker on the grounds of Studio City in LA.
The actors and crew are visibly happy to do these outdoor shootings.
David caruso says in between 2 takes:
"At CSI the main role is for the forensic investigation.
The actors play a subordened role.
The writers have started to write more personal stories in the series, but they still do it in a minor way.
The focusing is still on the murders and this amazing city."With "this amazing city" He ofcourse means Miami a suburb of LA.
Just under the enormous Hollywood letters.
When we drive away from the set, one of the crewmembers stops us and says:
"keep your eyes open, because I just saw Cindy Crawford walking her dog!"That fact is enough to give the man a dreamy look in his eyes.
"Cindy C...Now shé would make a great looking corpse..."
Hope you enjoy it, and hope I used the right words...eventhough my english is good enough...it's still hard work translating it.
But it was my pleasure...
;D
