I'm a bit in a hurry, but this is the post for today and I hope you'll enjoy...
O.K., seems as if I've been able to bring a bit of romance to the last week-end...
But today, well... it's Monday and we should go back to work, shouldn't we...
;D
Chapter 47The very next morning Eric, Danny, Lindsay and Sheldon were the first team-members who showed up at the department.
“Where’s your boss?” Eric asked astonished and had a look around. Then he noticed that Stella, Horatio and Calleigh were missing, too.
“The same could I ask you, Delko!” was Danny’s moody answer. He did not look like as if he had had enough sleep the last night and Lindsay was still preparing a portion of coffee for them all with very slow movements.
Sheldon seemed to have had a good night and grinned when he teased: “I guess this was a short night for everybody who’s no single.”
Eric understood at once, grinned too and went over to the cupboard to help Lindsay with the coffee.
From his seat at one of the kitchen-tables, Danny observed the elevator and waited for the others.
“Your Ryan Wolfe and this Natalia Boa Vista had done a tremendous job. They’ve sent over all information, already everything verified and the observation is already running as well.”
Eric turned around with two mugs filled with coffee and said: “Though they had to deal with an FBI-agent in the meantime, too. … He wanted to frame Horatio…”
“Don’t tell us anything about the idiocy of feds, Eric.”
Sheldon grabbed his mug, added some milk to it and began to drink the hot liquid slowly but steadily.

Mac, Stella, Horatio and Calleigh met at the elevator of the ground floor just at the same time. Mac and Horatio looked at each other without words. They both noticed the tired eyes of their vis-à-vis and could not help but grinned. Stella and Calleigh smiled at each other, too, and then they decided to take the same elevator instead of taking two.

Somewhere else at the early morning…
“My officers are keen on snatching this nerd from the streets,” Detective Frank Tripp snarled and put away his field glass.
Ryan observed the scenery with the yellow-taped area, several police-cars and the medical examiner without a glass; because he knew that their target was not able to get anywhere else at the moment.
“Just have a little bit patience, Frank. We’ll soon hook him up. The plane with our colleagues will touch down at 3 p.m. and I don’t think Horatio would skip the chance to catch this guy before the dayshift ends.”
“I’ve already read your files twice. As soon as I knew what I’d had to look for, I’ve found quite similar cases which match to this certain pattern. – It’s weird that nobody else had noticed it earlier.” Frank shook his head and one could imagine how this new knowledge was working on him and how he got angrier by the minute.
“Well, the imagination of being the executioner seemed to have developed within the recent time,” Ryan explained.
“But it’s kind of schizophrenia,” Frank objected. “On one hand he’s killing crap, which would actually match with his attitude of being an executioner and on the other hand he wants to frame or destroy Horatio, who’s doing his best to get crap from the streets legally.”
“If I’m right, Alexx called it as being a type of schizophrenia, in fact. And to the executioner’s opinion it’s no contradiction in terms to handle things like this: he eliminates all people whom he had declared to be ‘
evil’ or who got over the law,” Ryan went on explaining.
“Well, I must say that I don’t like Horatio’s method of bringing pressure to this
Jarhead-gang, but in the end it was successful, though… and I’m quite sure this knowledge helped him later on to survive the rumble with the
Mala Noche.” One could hear the deep respect in Frank’s words. “In a certain way this current case became as personal for Horatio as this trip to Rio.”
“And that’s the reason, why we gonna have to prepare everything for this evening and have to wait for Horatio and the others to get back to Miami.”
Ryan leaned back in his seat and continued observing the crime-scene at the other end of the street where the nightshift was still working on their current case which had started the very last night.
“By the way: what’s Natalia doing at the moment?” Tripp asked to switch the topic.
“She’s clocking a Hummer again,” Ryan gave back shortly without revealing the reason.
TBCBy the way: do you already know the identity of the sniper? ;D
