Okay, I just wish to say I am very proud to be a member of this board, and know all the wonderful people here. You said exactly what I was thinking and wanted to say as well, HCrazy.

I think we all feel it like that, even though we don't continuously express those feelings, but only on "special" occasions like this one. But I really think it's this feeling that's the reason for all of us to keep coming back to this board. Well, for me it is anyway...... Sandra

We have two reasons for coming back to this board . one obviously DC but the other is the genuine friendship and respect we all have for each other. maggie

"Ditto" what everyone else has said so beautifully. I'm so relieved to know that Mr. Caruso is still plugging away at his accumulation of fan mail. I had grown rather jaded about this in recent months. Something as important as Lindy's gift needed to be recognized and he did that in such a grand way. Good for him.
And good for Lindy for sharing and giving much thought to the distribution of the items. We have so many really good people on this board that it is a pleasure to reach out to you every day.

Hi everyone! Firstly, a big thanks for all of your pms and comments! For me your kind words are also a part of this wonderful journey. I haven't had time to respond to each of you but I certainly have read them and appreciate them very much! I have set up a table with all names of those to be sent something. So please send me your addresses if you would like to receive part of David's wonderful gift to us. Whether you have contributed directly to the dvd project or not, i am happy to send everyone a copy of David's home kodak pic. That pic is so special! (as is the gorgeous shirt). If you know any board members who haven't been about (eg Spiff) please give them a nudge for me. About the dvd itself. Many have asked for a copy of the dvd or for me to post it publicly. At the timer of completing it I posted it in parts for board members to see. I am happy to do this again for a short while. I took it down when certain people were looking like reducing their jail sentence and I wasn't sure what would be the outcome and also in the context of another whose fraudulent behaviour was about to be exposed. I am uncomfortable about sending copies of it and/or posting the dvd publicly. Two reasons: 1) it is a personal gift for David so not one we should share with the world. I like to think that it is a special gift made specifically for him. Public posting enables downloading and dilutes the unique and special personal nature of the dvd. It would be up to David to do what he wishes with the dvd as far as that goes. 2) The dvd breaches copyright in every sense of the word. The "Brightest Star section was the second vid I ever made (hence the awful editing made worse by reproducing it with a new program) It was posted on Youtube many moons ago and was duly removed. Moi does not want to be arrested, sued or barred from entering the US in 46 sleeps time. Nor do we want to get Mr Caruso into trouble. That is why the last frame states: It was my way of letting David know that it was a personal and unique gift only and especially for him (and not entirely legal.) That is also a reason why his response is so wonderful and amazing. He could have ignored it due it not being quite kosher and not wanting to take the risk. Most of my Youtube vids have been removed or sound tracks removed now due to copyright breach. It has become a serious issue. So I hope you will understand my attitude. Thanks again for all of your support with this project! We have been really blessed that David has seen fit to respond in such a warm and thoughtful way. I am still floating high and wonder what others think when I suddenly break out in a quiet smile. I hope my colleagues aren't taking notes...... So Sorry I really can't post it publicly. I will post the first few sections on my photobucket again so you can all see it. I know what it's like. I still watch it myself occasionally. Of course you want to see it too given your contributions and our current excitement. Please don't download it and post it anywhere. It belongs to David Caruso.

Of course we understand, Lindy and you are right: if the vid was meant for public eye, you should have put it up on YouTube. This is a special gift to mr. Caruso and it should stay that way: exclusive and especially for him to enjoy. Sandra

Lindy, I hear and understand everything you say. The video was made for David as a special gift, and whilst I would have liked to see again, in my opinion you should keep it private for David, and not give us the chance to see again. It was just our excitement causing us not to think this through properly.

Lindy, You're the best. I really can't say that enough times.
I'll give Spiff a nudge later today when she gets home from work. I'll do the same for Amy.

I am proud of you for recognizing the importance of the copyright date. I stopped "preaching" about it a couple of years ago as I was told my information was wrong; it wasn't but some people have minds like steel traps (always closed) when they want to persist in their own ideas and are unwilling to learn. Now I know that doesn't describe anyone on this board, does it?
Thanks so much for posting the DVD for awhile again, though. It was a "hoot" to see it again. I am thinking DC's tears are from laughing --- such good humor in this. He'll share this with friends and family for a long time, I'm sure.

Thank you Lindy, this was a joy to watch again. As Karen said, I suspect DC's tears are from laughing, after all we know he has a sense of humour, and this DVD made out of love was at very humorous.

Lindy, you're 100% right! I did an 150page paper about digital rights in my school and nothing goes two ways. If we want intellectual property to remains that we need to accept that just sometimes we're not going to enjoy some things... but most of all this was a gift to Mr. Caruso, and just like no one of us wants out gifts to be open for everyone to see... oh well you get my point!
Thanks for letting us see it once again though....

Hahaha. I am SO glad I watched those again. I can see why David would cry from laughing. There's a lot of tongue-in-cheek stuff in there. Thanks again for doing this, Lindy.
