David on MS links directly to his Facebook address and Twitter. Thus I suspect they are "his". Might be something amiss with MS again. They log in but no updates for several days.

I don't know where the 'Sweet words of his Female fans" comes from, but maybe I'm just not understanding correctly. If you send a message to wish him "a good day", "a lovely Father's Day", "just say hi" or "have a relaxing summerbreak" you seem to be neglected. Only if you use superlatives and excessive wordings like: "I love you", "I love the show", "CSI Miami is the best show in the world", "You are the best" and similar, you are able to get through. It seems as if he only wants the worshipping messages and not the "normal" ones. Which means bad luck for those who like watching the show, like to see David perform a role and admire his work for Best Buddies (if he's still active for that organisation), but don't plan to place him on a high stand. And that is exactly why I (just like Loretta) quit sending messages to his account.........I won't go as far as to completely draw back, but how his MySpace-page is handled, in my opinion, is nothing more or less than very much PR. Sandra Yes Thank You Sandra. It was not my imagination. You see as I have seen. CHOICE posting ... And as for whom runs Davids site, you were right, KRoseLynn, it is FRANK, I do not see eye 2 eye with Frank. My Mail was answered by Frank. So Frank mainly Runs things. I wont say anything further out of respect to David. & I am not the only 1 that has crossed paths with this man I just wish David New of Franks doings! & yes David Did LIVE IM & chatted with a friend of mine one 1 occasion but none since. Frank has IM'd Her n such but not David Since. Thank You For All Of Your Wishes. I Would Love To Keep My Account Open If No One Minds? This Is Like A Vote Here I Guess So I Will Wait & See If You Choose I Can Stay Or If I Should Go. I Am Not A David Hater! Nor Basher! I Still Admire Him. Just Not Going To Write For Star & Things Thank You ~Loretta~

I don't think it's a problem if your account stays activated, Loretta. It's fine if you want to jump in every now and than to take a look at the pics and other things going on here. Sandra

Glad to see you back, Loretta. Hope you continue to enjoy your visits with us. As far as slights go, (real or imagined), I just don't let things bother me that way anymore. There seemed to be some distress over David's allegedly saying he didn't care about getting a star on the Walk of Fame. I put that kind of talk right where it belongs ---- in the trash can! Stars are always saying "I don't care if I win (Oscar, Emmy or Golden Globe), it was enough just to be nominated." Still, when or if they do win, they act happily surprised and gracious about accepting their award. David would do the same, I'm sure. Relatively speaking, Caruso is still a young man with many good years ahead of him. Time will tell whether he deserves our continued support in this regard or not. With the economy the way it is right now, Hollywood is probably going to find fewer companies that are willing to cough up the big bucks it takes for one of those stars to be placed on the Walk of Fame. It is, after all, a tourist gimmick, and if people can't travel, these campaigns just might wither away and die.
We can always find something else in which to get involved. Think I'll go explore the "People's Choice Awards". We might actually have some say in that one.

Well....according to the name they gave that award, we should have something to say. But it's Hollywood we're talking about, so you never know if "People's Choice" actually means "the Viewers Choice" . But the idea is good and worth exploring anyway. Sandra

Thank You Karen & Sandra, As for David deserving continued support . Yes I believe in my heart,He does deserve it from any or all of his admirers and fans, whom wish to work on this goal. I would love to live long enough to see him get THAT STAR! It seems to me "we" (The fans & admirers) (not only here but on other places of gathering) "We" are the only ones whom "have" supported him. Why his employers etc, have or have not it is secret to me. Maybe they have or maybe they haven't. But ~if~ they haven't...... "that" in my opinion is very sad & disrespectful on their part. But i do not want to get into judging persons here. That is not my place to judge any human! But just look at how much he has done for "any" & "all" of his employers ! Not only CSI MIAMI I'm speaking of all his great work. just as we wrote in our sample letter form... CSI MIAMI would not be on the air long if he were to leave! But i believe it will be remembered long after it has gone Because of Davids Character "Horatio" ! But again that is my opinion. As For The Cost, in my opinion, once again the cost is pocket change to his employers and associates. Look at their Yearly income! But Thanks Again. I just do not want to over step my boundaries here. I just want to be friends & still enjoy things of David. Much Love, Thanks & Friendship from my end here! Loretta Carpenter WV. USA

I may be wrong but it was always my understanding that the person getting the star had to fork over the money. They aren't cheap.

I suppose the star in question could fork over the money him/herself if they needed to have a star that bad. But it is usually the sponsors who pay to have this done. A movie company can buy one for star of a blockbuster movie they want to push or TV networks and advertising gurus can sponsor one of their stars. The only thing that Mr. Caruso would have to commit to is to show up on the day that the star is installed. They have several years in which to choose an installation date so it shouldn't be inconvenient at the time.
