I guess there are more effective medis necessary to "cure" her from her strange behavior. Can't this woman get locked up somewhere and after that somebody looses the keys? ... Sorry, for that. Sometimes I really get mad about this woman...

Oh dont worry I cant stand her, and I dont even know how Horatio fell in love with her... -.-
I think she should 'accidentally' wind up dead to be honest.

Now Cass where would be the fun in her winding up dead! She's far more entertaining being alive and mad. I didn't like her last season but this season she has just amused me. Maybe she's going to make Kyle wear more ridiculous clothes and that's why Horatio has to save him. Lee.

I am kind of hoping we have another episode like "Under Suspicion" except that Julia winds up dead and its on Horatio.
Now that would be awesome.
And I cant stand the woman all together - she's too young to begin with and secondly she annoys the HELL out of me.

If you want to see what the rest of season 7 has to offer, check out Dojo's blog. She has a brief synopsis of the next few shows posted on her site. Sounds intense and hectic.

No doubt last night's episode left us all a little stunned. No one wants to be first to get a dialog going. The opening was impressive but the general over-all impression left a bad taste in my mouth. YUK.
I suppose there really are divorce parties these days although it seems like a very tacky thing to do, especially if one has children as did the woman Amy Lansing. When her ex fell through the roof of a gazebo with a noose around his neck, the party was over and the CSI crew sans Horatio and Frank worked the scene. Tara was slightly injured when the gazebo crashed.
The Horatio/Julia/Kyle story-line is just not setting quite right with me. It seems Kyle is no longer in school and his main responsibility is to take care of his mother. He was trying to get her to a job interview, speeding down the highway, when he is stopped by the police. Horatio talks to them and does a pretty good job of telling Julia that it is not Kyle's job to get her up and going in the morning. Horatio then turns to Kyle, showing him a corpse as it is brought to the morgue. He tells Kyle he is now working as an assistant to Tara and the scenes in the morgue between those two are among the best this show has to offer.
The plot includes bigamy, insest, and drugs. As two widows try to come to terms with their situation, it is revealed that their children have met and dated. These two have been intimate and the girl is expecting a baby. This was just too much for me. That is what my YUK is all about. Their father's reaction was self-serving instead of sympathetic and helpful and the mothers simply did not know.
Remember the body Kyle viewed? The young girl had been taking oxycotton (sp) and the drug disappeared on it's way to the lab. Horatio learned through Kyle that Julia was in the morgue visiting and the assumption was that she stole it. Not so. The culprit is revealed at the end and we are left wondering how this is going to play out in future episodes. More trouble for Horatio, that's for sure.
I thought Julia was buying Kyle's love back in early episodes when she gave him an awesome car. Don't know what Horatio is trying to do other than get him away from is mother who is not a good influence for him, but setting Kyle up in an apartment of his own seems a bit excessive to me. I would like to have learned that Horatio lives just over-head in what appears to be a duplex. There seems to be a growing trust between father and son here and I hope that they can start having some positive experiences together.
All-in-all, I consider this to be the weakest episode of the season; not up to the caliber of episodes usually reserved for "sweeps" month.

Doesn't sound like the overall good comments so far this season. That and the fact that no-one has posted earlier, to me means that this epi wasn't really what it promised, or at least was to be expected concidering the previews/spoilers/earlier epi's....... Sandra

I am like Karen left with a feeling that the writers were not up to par on this epi. Kyle should still be in school at least until the end of S7. I did like the shots of Kyle trying not to get sick in the morgue. The first look into Tara is not good. I am hoping that it is a step into bringing Alex back.

I actually - aside from the main story line - which - WAS CRAP, I thought the overall thing with H and Kyle was awesome - he's protecting him - he's being a dad, and he's stepping up while having to work all day - Finding time for Kyle in his hectic job, that in my opinion he would seem never to have time away from. I think Horatio will make an awesome dad - and Although Julia is still annoying the heck out of me, I think that this episode was alright - weak yes, but alright. It does look like Horatio is getting annoyed with Julia's antics and her disability as far as being a mom is concerned. And it may be getting to him - it seems that before he was alot more concerned about Julia and now he's just short and angry with her My favorite moment was when Horatio was at the wife's house and he called Trent's phone and Kyle picked up and Horatio's face said it all. He was all like "The HECK!?" xD I think that he got Kyle the apartment so that he would be away from Julia. Away from her influence. I dont think however that he will be living there alone - Horatio will be popping in from time to time. As for Tara Price. I Cant believe that she is addicted to drugs. Holy CRAP I was just like - Jaw on the floor. Interesting though that when Kyle was throwing up - I was too.. for another reason however. Uhm - Also I would like to tell you that Autopsies arent that bad - if you've seen them once - you can do it again - I saw three two years ago and I didnt get sick. It was an amazing experiance and I got to be a CSI for a day - Anyways - Last night I was really sick and not feeling all that well and I kinda laughed when Kyle threw up because I was too at that exact moment Kay that was kinda gross and TMI but seriously thats what happened. I hope that next week is better however. And as for the weakest episode. I think Resurrection was. And FYI when Horatio asked the wife "Can we please go inside" My mind went "Yes Horatio - You may walk into my house any time you want"

I guess I'll be the odd one out this time. While it was unpleasant in some ways, I thought the episode was solid. Not great, but not bad. Definitely stronger than Resurrection (in my feeble opinion). Not every episode has to be 'epic'. Sometimes a simple stand-alone episode works just fine.
I figured out who was responsible for the murder rather early on, but I was still able to enjoy it. Also...the twist at the end was VERY exciting! It opens a whole world of possibilities for future episodes.
I think this episode (and the next one, "Flight Risk") was meant as a filler. Coming in 2 weeks...things start picking up and crescendoing to the season finale. We know the Russian mob is going to be heavily involved in that. For now, I think the writers are letting us relax just a bit in between much more dramatic and heavy episodes (aka the previous two and the final final five or six).
