Very very rough draft. Please allow time to polish this up, but here it is in it’s rough form. Sorry for any spelling errors at the moment, and for any other errors I may have made. I was typing frantically at the comercials. All errors will be corrected later. Don't be afraid to correct anything you see wrong. I don' mind. ;D
Wow! What a great episode! The story flowed nicely and kept me guessing to the very end!
Starts with a nice shot of a ferry and sunset. Beautiful!
A lady named Shiela is sun bathing while her significant other is egging her on to get ready for a wedding.
Delko tells landlady that his AC is now working fine, it started back up yesterday. He’s goes to get change from his car after checking it under nieth for something with a device of some kind, and goes to get a coffee from a vending machine while a pregnant young woman gets ice. Small talk.
He returns to his room while another couple argues about something that was broken.
A shot rings out. Delko perks up. Another shot then breaks the window to his room and grazes his Left arm. He yells out Miami Dade and pulls out his gun. There is a third shot. Delko goes outside; gun brandished and sees man in the pool with blood around him.
Horatio shows up and asks if Delko if he’s ok, and what he’s doing there. Delko says “I’m staying here during remodel, chance to get away and not spend a lot of cash.”
Horatio’s one liner “I guess that didn’t last long, hu?” Theme song.
After break Frank and Calleigh go to victim’s room to investigate. Calleigh makes the comment there is going to be a lot of DNA to sift through. Frank says “I’d never lay my head on one of those slug sponges they call pillows!”
Frank spots a broken window; Calleigh finds red fabric on it.
Ryan finds the bullet in Delko’s room, fragmented. Then teases Delko about where he’s living, Eric leaves room, Ryan finds a note on table, and puts it in his pocket. Ryan also takes note of an explosive field kit in room as well.
ME Megan tells H the bullet fragmented and part had hit Seth’s heart and part had hit a valve and victim bled out fast. Alcohol above legal limit at twice the legal level. I think the number was 1.8. Also body had signs of torture.
Then ME Megan finds a button with frat house on it. She then finds out the bullet was intact and the button was inside wound. The button said Delta Sigma Mu, and that the bullet hit the heart and the button hit the valve (or the other way around.) Fabric on window belongs to Niel, the hazer for frat house who was hazing Seth, the dead guy in the pool. H interrogates Neil. He asks Neil why he left thought the back. Neil explains that he didn’t kill Seth but because of why they were in the room he thought it would make him look guilty. H told him he was right about that.
Ryan determines that the bullet from Delko’s room was too mangled and fragmented to get anything from. But Calleigh finds etching in the other bullet, so she and Erik go to determine trajectory.
Fighting couple the Restin’s (spelling) get interviewed next. Mr. has record but claims he didn’t see anything.
Ryan shows H the note found in Delko’s room, he also mentions the explosives kit. H tells Ryan not to interfere and he’ll look into it. The note leads H to the owner of a place called Cutanas (?) When H arrives, he waits patiently for a woman to leave so he can talk to Enrico alone. Woman tells Enrico not to be long. Enrico tells H that Delko paid him to get a legal document from Cuba.
H tells him that if anything happens to Delko he’ll hold him personally responsible. Enrico asks if that was a threat. Horatio said ‘Yes, it’s a threat!’
Calleigh and Frank are back at Hotel to investigate farther. Calleigh asks Frank to remove a vent cover from celing. He reaches up, tall as he is, and removes the cover and Calleigh climbs up on the bed side table (I think) and looks in. She sees signs that something was up there. So she asks Frank to boost her up, and she climbs through and finds a dead man covered in ice in a bathtub.
The firlfrind of ice man is called Linda. Preggers. This is the same girl as at ice machine earlier when Delko got coffee before the bullets started flying. She was afraid because she didn’t know what to do about baby. She wanted to keep getting checks to support baby so didn’t report death. She explains that she found him collapsed and that she didn’t kill anyone.
Back at lab Ryan and Eric talk about bullet from Delko’s room. Then Ryan asks why he’s at the motel and Eric confesses he felt he was being watched at his home and believed it was Enrico. Eric then goes to see Enrico, and goes out back to talk to him but instead finds him dead by trash. Eric calls it in and for backup.
H asks Eric what he got from Enrico that was from Cuba. Eric shows him his Birth Certificate. Eric was born in Cuba. H takes Eric off the case.
ME Megan examines the body of Enrico at scene and tells H she sees lipstick. She asks if Eric is in danger and if there is anything they can do for him. H says “Close the case.” Ryan finds a .38 and takes to the lab; he superglue fumes it and finds Restin’s fingerprints. This gun killed both Seth and Enrico. Ristin explains he found money, hid it in his room-better than a bank-but suspected Molly of taking it when it comes up missing. He pointed a gun at Molly to get her to talk, she shoves it away, goes off and kills Seth, the pledger.
The third shot is found inside a barrel. Tracks found at the scene are possibly from an ATV.
Callegh goes to see Linda, the pregnant young woman by Joel. She doesn’t know what Joel found but shows Calleigh where she found him. Calleigh then finds a bag of money hidden in the ice machine. Takes into evidence.
Delko and Mom. Truth comes out. Father is Alexander Sheroba (spelling?) who is a bad man.Delko forgives mom for lying to him. Mom says Alexander never knew about Eric.
Calleigh shows money to Mrs. Restin and she says of course it’s hers. Calleigh says she’ll confer with Narco because of husband’s record. Mrs Restin changes her story and fast!
Calleigh takes money to Linda and said it belongs to her because her boyfriend reported it. And no one claimed it. Calleigh tells Linda that Joel will get a proper burial and that he died from a heart attack.
Boa Visa is investigating treads of ATV. H suggests single wheel is in back. Turns out it’s a CAN-AM Spyder (which we also got treated to an advertisement commercial of the Spyder after the show was over and before the previews. Cool hu?). The tracks lead them to the girl in the bar with Enrico while H talks to him before. Her name is Kate Hawks.
Kate is important to the ending and to the plot, but I will not give anything else away just yet.
My favorite part was when H told Enrico that he’s going to hold him responsible if anything happens to Eric and said “Yes! It’s a threat!” WOW!
We got to see a little into Delko's situation right now and I'm sure that's just the beginning! I think getting little bits of the characters personal lives is a good thing to include in the show. Makes you feel for them more, if you know what I mean! We're going to get treated to more of the characters lives outside the lab soon! That's exciting isn't it?!

It was a good episode, I must admit, I just don't like the way the Miami people sometimes mess with previously established canon just for the sake of a storyline.
I really liked it way back when in Season 1, when we found out that Eric's parents were of different nationalities and had escaped Cuba together in order to have a better life for their children!
I'm interested to see how they finish this up. In particular, I want to know why a factory owner would care about a one-time affair to the point of wanting his son dead.
Don't get me wrong, I really did like the episode! They'll just have to work a little harder to get me on board this one.

I got that his Mom had been lying to him about where he was born. She also stated that his real father never knew about Eric. Now, his Mom's husband, Mr. Delko, (and probably the real father of Marisol) may very well be a different nationality.
So up untill today, we knew what Delko knew. That Delko was in his moms stomach when they arrived in the Key's. Her husband (Marisol's Dad) may not even know he's not Eric's real father.
But Alexander certianly knows about Delko now since he hired this Kate chick to kill him! Possibly he found out when the Birth Certificate was being dug for. His name is on the certificate, someone may have seen it and told him.
So it stands to reason that Alexander is not JUST a factory owner or whatever. Mrs. Delko said 'He is a bad man.' He could be like a crime lord or something like that. Wouldn't that be interesting?! You know what I mean, that Delko's a cop/CSI and his real dad is a crime lord. Ha! That will make for some good stories down the line if that's the case, hu?
Anyway, that's what I got from the scene with Eric and his mom. Of course some of it is speculation based on the dialog between Delko and his mom.

Sounds like a very fast and exciting epi to me. I think it's a good thing they show more of the characters.....makes them more human. And as for Eric's dad.....I always understood that his mom was Cuban and his dad Russian....he had a difficult name to pronounce, which he shortened to "Delko".......I can remember an Epi in which he is telling Speed something like that.....don't remember the name of the epi, though Sandra

Oh I remember that! Was it "Delkotorski"? Or something like that. Does anyone else remember that? Maybe it's Wet Foot Dry Foot or Blood Moon where he says it.... Oh, Sandra, you've sent me on a mission now!

This episode makes me wonder how they are going to change the backstories of other characters --- Horatio in particular. He came into the series a divorced man but that tag has been dropped; better to make him a widower, I guess. And now Marisol is Eric's half-sister as they only share the same mother. I think the casting dept. did an excellent job choosing Delko's mom --- hope we see her again.
I liked the settings in this episode as we usually do not see the seedier side of Miami. That motel was horrendous! The bar looked very inviting in a "Hemmingway" sort of way; just the kind of place Cuban's would enjoy. And now for a confession which will clarify my unwillingness to write reviews anymore: Somewhere in the middle of this episode, I fell asleep! Think I had about a 10 minute snooze so I'll be looking forward to a rerun of this one.

I'll say it again here..
This episode didnt shock me nor did it stun me..
I was just like meh.. but then again I hadnt slept in almost fortyeight hours when it aired so...
But still I remember most of it, and it wasnt like... one of those HOLY CRAP episodes, the acting was good and like, stuff
I love, my favorite moment has to be
Horatio: Enrico if anything happens to Eric I'm going to hold you personally responsable Enrico: Is..that a threat? Horatio (Anger washes over his features and his eyes narrow): Yes, that is a threat.
