Hi Net...Because my review om fic.net is gone, I do it again on this board. I loved the story, it's hot, it's funny and it's accurate. Men always see there most beloved item as a woman. Cars, boats, guncollection and even their pc are "her and she".. and well taken care off. From now on, when I watch Horatio pulling his gun (or pistol LOL) out, I will have a big smile on my face. Thanks Helen

The oddd thing about this story is that I always don't know a thing about guns and thought I didn't know anything about how anyone could relate to them. heh
I am gratified by the response here. Thanks, guys.
By the way, I know that negative comments aren't kosher on this site, so if anyone has any comments in that direction for me, I'd welcome them on PM. Praise bathes, negatives cleanse. heh.

Great story. And as you wrote: a gun could really become a personal thing. Though the first gun I've bought only lays in its safe and I prefer other ones for my shooting contests, I would never manage to sell my first one. It's weird, I know. By the way: it's a TAURUS 605, .357 Mg. And thank you for the tip that Horatio's gun might be a Glock, 9mm (nice and solid pistol as we all could admire for several times ;D) @ sundancer, the Glock 17 is a recognised official US Law Enforcement weapon... In Europe, most forces prefer the Sig.. In my ANB story, I checked to make sure it's accurate.... Don't want to give you false information - I do research my story y'know.....! Lucy

[ @ sundancer, the Glock 17 is a recognised official US Law Enforcement weapon... In Europe, most forces prefer the Sig.. Lucy Did you know, however, that the Glock is also considered to be the most unreliable automatic? That all automatics are more unreliable than revolvers? That many in US law enforcement carry their own personal revolvers as extra sidearms? I have always thought the writers were trying to convey this in Lost Son. They can't criticize policy or point out the unreliability, so they chose to pick on Speed's messy habits as a cause of his death. It could be but, from what I hear, even a casual bit of lint in the firing chamber can cause a misfire in a Glock. We equip our finest with only the finest, ma'am. Same for the training. (yeah, right)

You are right Net... Automatics are not as reliable, but they are used more due to fire power... If the bad guy has a big gun - you need one to go after him... (Even if you only need one bullet to kill him....)
The finest weapons and equipment for our soldiers...! Yeah right... I know what some of my friends went out to Iraq with... (First and second time around) The pilots were buying their own personal GPS units, cause they were better than the navigation systems on board their aircraft...
Enough negativity... It was still a great story....

This Fic left me breathless. H...Oh so bad...H...oh so good. I especially like the depths of it's symbolic meaning. Thanks for going there. You rock of course.
