There's nothing like watching 6 to 8 episodes of CSI Miami all at nce and without commercials. Not having to wait for next week. Highly recommend it if you can do it. Waring though, watching this way gets addictive once you see a few episodes, you cant stop, just want to keep on going and going even into the small hours of the night.

Normally I don't watch the sychronised versions here on German TV, it's so irritating if you don't hear his real voice. Because I love this voice and it's a huge part of Horatio's character. So I bought all DVD-boxes, even the Region 1-version of season 4 (a bit difficult to watch cause there are no subtitles), and watch the episodes when I like to. Over and over again...And maggi, it's right, you can get addicted to watch one episode after the other! I experienced this one weekend...Only got out to buy some food...

In fact, all foreign TV shows broadcasted in Germany are synchronized. In most of the cases, especially movies, the translation fits the original. But the budgets for TV shows seem to be not very opulent, which means the synchronization is weak and so the meaning of a lot of phrases and expressions gets lost. But nevertheless I don't like subtitled shows or movies. Because I always try to understand the dialogs for themselves, I'm often irritated by the subtitle. So better a synchronization OR the original tone. (but that's just me )

You are so right...first off I watched CSI:M on TV..liked H's voice then I bought the first DVD, OMG, was I shocked about DC's real voice (nothing like the synchro one). Took me one epi to get used to it. But now, I cannot imagine watching it NOT in the original. Soooooo much better. Chris

I pity all you poor guys having to watch CSI:M in synchro - DC's voice is sooo important - the expressions he uses just wouldn't have the same impact otherwise....

What exactly in synchro. I have never heard of that before. Do you not hear David's wonderful voice? I would die! Barb

This is when the words of the charaters are dubbed in in another langrage. Sence David doesn't speak German someone else does his voice over.

I read in some newspapers that the German synchro studio tried to get a voice which is quite similar to David Caruso's, but it didn't work. In fact, the tone and vibration of a voice is only ONE aspect to me. But I really get crazy, when the jokes come in across like a lame duck in the German versions. So I changed and watch the German eps only once and than (as soon as available on DVD) switch to the original version. ;D

i have a question, in what episode does Horatio tell Yelina that Madison isn't his daughter but Raymond's? i know the little girl gets sick and needs bone marrow or something and Horatio gets tested but doesn't match so he finally tells Yelina so that Ray Jr. can help?

i have a question i hope someone can answer. on the episode 'collision' H tells a little boy that his father killed his mother but i read on another sight that H's mother was killed by a drug dealer she confronted, which is correct? also, if his father killed his mother is he the man Horatio killed all those years ago in new york that is alluded to in several episodes and what he is confessing to to the priest on 'from the grave'?.....terris3sons

I have always thought that it was the drugdealer that killed his mother. I think that it's in their official site as well. But now this question is bugging me too.

I thought that it wasn't his father but Raymond's father (am I right in thinking they have different fathers?) that he killed...maybe Raymond's father was a drug dealer.
